900k for this 4room HDB. Crazy price. Better to get Commonwealth Towers/Queens Peak beside Queenstown MRT

Thank you for your comment. The commonwealth , queenstown area is highly sought after. Hence if one is looking for something that is of a comparable size (abv 1000sqft) in the location, a condo unit at Queens Peak is going for about $1.9M - $2M. Alternatively, some smaller and older 4rm flats (close to 50 years old) in the vicinity are going for about $400k - $500k.

904sqf unit at Commonwealth Towers is abt 1.6xmil, more capital upside imo. If one buys into a 50year old flat, he runs the risk of lease being expired in his golden years, and also more cash outlay for the flat. Not a wise choice.

Correct, the BTO price for the flat is about 550K, almost doubled price after MOP. The government should intervene. HDB housing is for living, not for investment.

Good luck in selling it for profit or even breakeven if you bought a HDB for almost a million

You missed the good stuff at the Tanglin Halt Market and old shop houses. Koufu and Sheng Siong are convenient but lacked some characteristic.
