Inside a Copeland Scroll Compressor

I am currently a student @ Center for Employment Training in San Bernardino, Ca. We had some units that former students had cut open but I wanted to see for myself how one of these compressors actually worked. I hope to be putting up more videos soon.

could you please tell me if this statment is true "The motor compressor is suspended by springs in the capsular housing which minimises the transmission of vibration to the capsule body, thereby reducing noise emission"

Good job cracking open that compressor. They die for a lot of different reasons but mostly because of lack of lubrication once the system gets a leak.

I just had one fail due to an inexperienced HVAC tech overcharging an 8lb system to 14lbs. Killed both the compressor and the TXV.

Mr.can i use refrigerator compressor as a replacement for a bad air conditioner?the air conditioner uses R-22, can i use R134A with a refrigerator compressor?

No u cant replaces 22 with 134

No.... R-22 ans R-134A use different oils as lubricant. The air conditioner's coils and tubes are contaminated with mineral oil (used with R-22) and cannot be used with R-134A.

Would you kindly please explain the correct way to use a grinder with a cutoff wheel. If he's doing it incorrectly then for the last 30 years I've been doing it wrong myself.

Cutie Tootie ok, gladly. His body is on the wrong side of the grinder so if the wheel snags and blows up he’s in the line of fire, second he’s shooting sparks up instead of down. He needs to rotate the grinder and shoot the sparks down. Hope you understand and that this helps.
