@@MonicaHolly143 Formally and linguistically, the word sauna should be the same in every language as it is in Finnish. British and Americans pronounce it incorrectly and is a typical bastardization of official foreign words due to ignorance, laziness or inability to pronounce the word. The way the Finns say it should be the same in Chinese, French, Italian and English and ALL languages. It's a phenomenon that is true of many words in many languages and doesn't make the foreign pronunciation correct just because people have always done it - they were simply taught incorrectly.
