There's two different circuit for each motors on the board of the camera. You can try to change the port of the two motors that's plugged on the board to correct it

@@bertodiy It also explains why after a reset it points directly up whereas other videos i have seen the camera points forwards, I just wanted to check that both plugs are the same (I haven't actually opened it up yet) to check.

I have the same problem. What's strange is that despite this it worked for a year, although the night mode is quite weak, you can hardly see anything. But two days ago it lost the wifi signal, I took it apart and now I saw that the antenna cable is not connected anywhere, a small part is just hanging out of the antenna. No older soldering is visible on the wifi module either. I don't understand how he was able to detect the signal until now. Do you have any ideas?

you can track the pcb lay out or the area w/c the antenna is located, you can look for the cold solder and wire remains of the antenna that had been pulled out

try checking the power connector inside the camera, i also experienced that issue in one of my ip cam when i opened it, the power connector inside the unit from the usb is unplugged or disconnected

@@bertodiy thanks for the info. Got it to power up but now facing problem with the panning motor. It is quite tight and causing the movement to stop before homing. Do you know where to get the motor? thanks.

probably a damaged gear or defective motor, try checking the motor and gears

I had this happening because the USB would come undone as the ball would rotate.

Same problem. One of the wires of the stepper motor was broken.
