Omg! I remember Barbara's apt. I used to work for the previous owner. I knew this was the place because of the conservatory room. It's so familiar. What a beautiful renovation she made. The conservatory used to be a master bathroom which is now a kitchen/dining area.There used to be 2 pianos. One by the entrance and the other one was a grand piano by the living room. What a total change. More modern style than it used to be.😊

0:18 "Nice/Custom" ping pong table, its just a regular ping pong table made less practically by removing the fold function and attaching regular table legs to it, so now you cant fold it together and save sqft when not in use. A pool table would be way more classy IMO. But otherwise is it a nice apartment, the greenhouse / kitchen part is really cool! But you can tell its a old people living there...

To be fair with Barbara, you never consider your own house as investment. Owning a house is always a liability, and for Barbara she can afford to buy a house and over renovating it, because, well she is well invested at other places. She can pay of her house liability easily.

The children of the folks who fled to Long Island and Westchester 30-50 years ago can't afford to move back to their parent's and grandparent's former neighborhoods in the Upper West side, Lower East side, Williamsburg, and now certain parts of Queens.
