Tensions have been rising at Wethersfield in Essex, where around 600 asylum seekers are being held in a former military base. The men, a number of whom claim to be torture survivors, are waiting for their claims to be processed by the Home Office.
The Home Office say their detainment is a temporary solution while their claims are actioned. But these men say their stay has long-exceeded the promised maximum of 9 months.
We went to Wethersfield to speak to those living in conditions they describe as prison-like.
