Centre Financier de Kinshasa - Inside DR Congo's New Multi-Billion Financial Centre - Kinshasa Financial Center - Turkey's expanding influence in Africa, evident through President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's frequent visits to the continent, highlights Ankara's strategic efforts to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties. Over the past two decades, Turkey has made substantial investments, exemplified by the construction projects undertaken by Turkish companies, including the building of a mosque in Ghana, stadiums in Rwanda and Senegal, and airports across various African nations. And now the DRC is the latest beneficiary of Turkish attention and investment, exemplified by the recent inauguration of a major financial centre in the capital Kinshasa. What purpose will this mega financial centre serve? When was it built and how much did it cost? And how will the people of the DRC benefit from this initiative? In today's video, we will offer deep insights into these questions and more. Before we dive into our topic today, if you haven't already, please consider subscribing to our channels and ringing the bell to be notified about all our exciting future videos.
On Tuesday, December 19th, 2023, Congolese President Felix Tshisekedi officially inaugurated the Kinshasa Financial Center ahead of the presidential elections. The ceremony to open the new Kinshasa financial centre, a product of Turkish-Congolese cooperation, was attended by the esteemed members of the DRC's government, the leadership of the project's contractors, and roughly 1,500 members of the general public. The Kinshasa Financial Center is a financial hub strategically located in the Gombe commune of Kinshasa, in the western region of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It covers a total area of 165,000 square meters, which is roughly the size of 33 football fields with the assumed minimum dimensions, making it the largest financial centre in the entire DRC.

@@Luvemliljs. Find out what??? Africa has been in good relationship with these countries since before the indépendances . We didn’t know or started talking business with them yesterday, in fact russia and china fought along many African countries to gain independence against the hypocrites so called human right freedom fighters ‘’west’’ so what will we find out? You will soon find out that your enemies are not our enemies and YOU are actually the developing nations enemies

Infrastructure projects create jobs both directly and indirectly, they also enable locals to acquire skills so in the future they undertake their own projects. There is no free lunch,we just have to make the most of these gigs that come from unlikely sources. To sum it up Milvest understands Africa has a deficit in infrastructure,so they are here to address that, having a defeatist attitude won’t fix our roads or hospitals,we need to capitalise on these gigs so we acquire skills to do our own gigs in future. This is a better proposition than the West which comes to lecture us 24/7 about democracy and marriage laws etc ,yet fail to tackle security problems. With 🇹🇷,you don’t get the tedious lectures, you get business projects that are efficient,so it’s up to us to pick up skills from those gigs so we can industrialise .

Yes, and to also hope that our financial leaders and contractors that are hired for negotiating this deal know what they are doing and are not greed like past contractors, so that we have win-win scenarios to each other!

Inga Dam will be the best of all. Once completed, it will generate the electricity needed for more than 45% of the entire Africa. As a resulte Congo won't even need its mineral wealth live lavishly. Inga, Inga and Grand alone will put the Congo on top of the world.

It’s up to Ghana to state what they would rather do. In Rwanda Turkey is building state of the art stadium which will be used for football and sports. When completed it will be FIFA approved world class. In DRC too Turkey is building state of the art Arena to accommodate 20k people, when completed it will be biggest Arena in Africa,it will be better than the Arena in Senegal and Rwanda. Then there is the much awaited Airport that will make DRC heart of Africa,in terms of connecting flights in the continent. The gig is so big it will create so many jobs long term both directly and indirectly, including train to and from the airport.

Milvest is doing a great job. There’s the financial centre but also the 20, 000 person arena, the 18 floor office des routes building with the 8 floor data centre next door, the Ndjili airport project and becoming the sponsors of AS Vita Club. That’s all in Kinshasa but they are also planning projects in other provinces too like the sports centre they will build in Walungu, South Kivu and some urban housing projects across the country.

Im tired of all this symbolism that black folks worldwide eat up. Money not spent well imo. How does a physical structure provide any financial benefits? Instead of spending tgat on building the intangible and other important tangible financial infrastructures that directly impact the economy. Such as technology, skills development, hiring the right resources to help make an impact. Instead the government spends $290 million dollars on a freaking building!!!! For symbolism purposes!?

You are right. Africa needs to build capacity of its people. People who will fit in different sectors, and be able to hold the pillars on which a country is standing. Otherwise, the infrastructure being laid will always benefit the foreign investors at over 90%; while the locals remain in the lowest paying positions.
