From December (?) of 1991, an Inside Edition story on the unfolding steroid abuse scandal in the WWF, specifically as it pertained to Hulk Hogan. Billy Graham and David Shults provide most of the incriminating testimony.
This was filmed just prior to the sex abuse scandal that unfolded in early 1992 and led to Vince McMahon appearing on Larry King and Donahue to defend himself.

@@Squeakypickles619 The "Progressive" Left ruined things. I put "Progressive" in quotation marks because they are everything but progressive...The human species is supposed to evolve to become more tolerant of differences. Have you ever had a disagreement with someone from the left though? Once you say something that they don't agree with, they immediately try to cancel you and try to gang-up on you with other members of the left. The left, and its members, resemble a cult...The human species is supposed to evolve to become more accountable and responsible for their own actions. But people on the left make excuses for everyone (just look at all of their social inequality nonsense, when in fact the people who don't achieve often only have themselves to blame because they made poor choices)....The human species is supposed to evolve to make better use of the increased knowledge that science has given us. Try talking about science, especially biology, to those on the left. They don't think things such as biological facts exist. And this was why Vince stood up in the 80's/90's and said we're 'not wrestling, we're sports entertainment!' so he could get out of his employees being drug tested by outsiders that he couldn't control. It even came out leading up to a wrestlemania a couple of years ago a couple of wrestlers failed the drug test but because they were within the big matches of the card their failed test results were filed somewhere never to be found again. Lance Storm even said that was why he was dropped by WWE because he would doing any of the enhancing drugs

Reporters of the inside edition will never let anyone go up, they will always pull down people going up the ladder of success. They feel envious when others grow in life. They do many things to ensure that their growth is not smooth. Hogan was larger then life , he reached out to millions in despair through his american spirit of happiness and hope which of course is no where to be seen in the world of today. Even if you use steroids, you still have to workout and train. It's not like the super soldier serum that turned Steve Rogers into Captain America. I'm not defending Hulk Hogan. I'm just saying that Hogan made the WWF/ WWE, way before Stone Cold, The Rock, Triple H, Kurt Angle, The Undertaker, and John Cena. There was no way that Hogan could have body slammed the 550 pound Andre the Giant without the help of steroids. It's the same thing with baseball. Fans cheered for Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, and A-Rod when they were hitting home runs. Now, the same fans want to criticize them for cheating. You can't have your cake and eat it.
@vizionaryentertainment8464

Those are two completely different examples. Honestly I don't see the problem with using steroids in pro wrestling when the outcomes are predetermined and theres no such thing as cheating anyways? Baseball isn't predetermined so using performance enhancing drugs is cheating

Take *any* field of human development you want (sports, art, etc) and then try to understand the difference between an amateur and a pro. You'll see that what's sets them apart is the level of development each is set to achieve! A professional must attain a much bigger and better state of perfection at what he does, and for that to be possible there are extra costs (comes with the territory and it's the only way, but the fact they are willing to do it is, IMO, proof of honor and *not* of shame). Now, in sports that cost is an "unhealthy" extra mile to be run that amateurs need no to put in, and it comes in many forms... Do you think the training regime of a professional can be considered "healthy"? Exacerbated effort, too many hours of non-stop workout, muscle fatigue and cardiovascular abuse, you name it. If you asked an ordinary man to mimic such training he would die of exhaustion or his heart would burst. But we accept it, because we know that it's the cost a professional must pay to push his limit, to break that next world record, to perform always a little better and keep giving the viewers a reason to fill stadiums or gather around the TV. Pressure commands it! But then, for some reason, people just seem to not understand that steroid use is simply another cost, not any different (or dangerous) than the monstruous work-out rigors they go through. If an athlete dies of exhaustion by the marathon end line (like it has happened) the public claps and he's a hero, if another admits he used steroids they boo him and he's a loser... Where's the logic in that? Both took risks for the sport they love, to be able to add that little extra bit of performance and give the world entertainment and awe. I see no difference.

I was a collegiate athlete who took steroids because I got tired of being in excruciating pain every single day. I took a small amount of deca and a pro-hormone. Today, in my 30’s I am in great health and can still workout hard and enjoy life. I am fitter than most 20 year olds. My teammate (close friend of mine) who didn’t take steroids and listened to his doctor, completely destroyed his kidneys with NSAID’s. He was a great athlete and otherwise would be in great health, but due to taking the “safer route” smh…he now will eventually need a kidney transplant and it is likely he will have to have limbs amputated in the future as his kidney function continues to deteriorate with time. I’m not saying that anabolic steroids are completely risk free, but when taken in a responsible manner as opposed to abusing them they are a safe drug. Weak people want others to be weak. Our culture loves to see others fail. That’s why we tolerate widespread opiate addiction because we love to see others fail. Steroids make people insecure because they make people strong, and there’s nobody that everyone loves to hate more than a winner. Trust me I know.

I like what Dave Shultz said, as a kid I didn't look up to my dad, or other regular men, these guys were like super heroes to me. They were superhuman in size anyways, and now we know why. As an adult I realize you can never attain the muscles of these guys without PED's. After we gained more knowledge, the shift in wrestling changed from muscle guys to smaller more athletic guys that looked more normal.

It's only now that Hogan tells about his life of steroid abuse, drug use etc; mainly because he's made his millions and doesn't have to worry about where his next meal comes from. Back in the 70s, 80, and even the 90s everybody toted the line. Everybody claimed to be "clean 'n' sober" and if you even *thought* about admitting to juicing, it would be the end of your career. Now it's so out there and known, they don't even try to hide it. -John Cena's a walking advertisement for HGH. -Lesner's pretty much a "shaved ape". Don't even get me started on Triple H.

That's how people are. Once they retire they can confess all they had to hide in order to maintain their status. Like Ricky Martin saying he was gay, like many actors talking about their drug abuse, etc...

But who says steroids are bad? The media? The FDA? The FDA approves drugs they say are safe all the time and people end up dying. The same people who approved OxyContin as a non addictive alternative to other narcotics ahem the FDA ahem also say steroids are bad. Steroids in and of themselves are not as bad as they're made out to be. Steroids in competition of course should be banned but the wrestlers are not cheating anyone but themselves and that should not be a crime.

CDubs HasIt It's not about steroids per se, but any substance that has the potential to be widely abused by people, will be controlled. Steroids are not illegal, they're only controlled. Heroin is illegal, but morphine is controlled. It's not the substances per se (I mean, if you drink a liter of gasoline it's certainly worse than doing cocaine, heroine, crack, steroids and OxyContin at once),

How times have changed. They were on the WWF's case when they were sports entertainment (just like the NFL). I remember when juicing was frowned upon, now our superstars in the nfl and nba are encouraged and protected in the name of a profit.

yer but to cena's credit he has never failed a test, where rey, bastista, orton...I mean everyone has failed at least once if not twice. Plus he never tears his hamstrings like nash, hhh and vince of course did because of steriods. You can also see the years where he spent building this mass. Its not like the rock that goes up and down in weight like nothing. Cena has remained the exact same no matter what. Plus it wasn't quick that he got big.

I'm hoping for the day a wrestler in WWE admits to the media he uses steroids, just so the media can blast WWE again and hopefully gets to the point where it causes WWE to be forced to stop their programming, I want them to go away.

I mean you can always get round testing by all means, but theres been some pretty bad failures at very bad times. I mean they had to basically change the rules to stop from firing orton at his height. I mean you can say you can get round the testing, theres no full proof tests but its sooooo much better then it was its not even funny.
