Inside hat designer Philip Treacy's studio

For over 25 years Philip Treacy has designed hats that draw admiration and surprise in equal measure, with his client book including names from the worlds of royalty and celebrity.
The singer Lady Gaga once said that being asked to take off her Treacy hat at a party was like being asked to remove her liver.
Breakfast's Jayne McCubbin met the designer in his London studio.

I had that second hat that Catherine has on in 1961 when I got married when we left. Funny how things never go out of style

The Mrs. says: Wrong some heifers look awful in a hat, women so many times choose a hat that's either to big or small for the size of their head.

I love the looks of hats but have never found one I look good in.

@@debbiesims138 I agree with you; I have never found a hat that flatters me. I am positive, though, that Treacy could create a hat for me and that I’d look fabulous in it. I’m just as positive that he never would. Even if by someone miracle he did create one just for me, I’d never be able to afford it. Oh well.
