We were at House of Sound last october and the experience is sublime, not just because of the obviously amazing sound systems but because of Ricardo, who is the best host ever. He made the tour a million times better; even my girlfriend - who was reluctant to come with me at some point - was blown away and understood everything regarding specifications and what she needed to pay attention while listening. She says that this tour was one of the highlights of our vacations. Plus, you can hear whatever song you want to, compare how they sound in the different rooms/systems and that makes it so much better. I surely would try to visit them the next time I'm in NYC. Greetings from Chile!

Hi I am from India. Just happened to be in a Bose showroom. Floored by the home theater sound. I’m a vivid music listener with a pair of Wharfadale 9.2 Diamond speakers and a Denon stereo amplifier. Love to see the Machintosh Amps turn table and speakers. Love to spend time with listening How Deep is your life from Beegees and Country Roads take me home.

Beautiful. I have a similar set up. But 2 more 1000 amps. And 2 additional Linn Akubarik with active cards. My dad started this all off. But crazy money. Nearly £1.35 million.

Where does one get the McIntosh meter on the TV screen? Is it an app or?

Cool stuff but absolutely 0 acustics in the first room. 100k€ set and yet 0€ in making the room even little bit better in acustic side. Shame. 😅

Props to the Screaming For Vengeance album on deck in that one room. 👌🏽 And by the way, any opinions on the McIntosh reference sound system in the Jeep Grand Wagoneer?
@ListenUp7 ай бұрын
They did have one at the HOS and it hit the mark. Loved the look inside the jeep, too.

But with glass windows how you guys got the audio corrected?
@ListenUp7 ай бұрын
MEN 220 Room Correction System was used in the rooms with glass, challenging acoustics. Also, they really messed around with speaker placement and did add some acoustic treatment. Take away was a combo of room correction gear and acoustic treatment will provide best sound in any given room.

I am a journalist on printed paper in the sector, I cannot understand if this represents your ideal of sound or just a form of aesthetic status made up of beautiful environments typical of an architect where everything is clean, without a visible cable where the turntable must have the same sound as digital, dear gentlemen, this globalized way of uniting two brands that don't play together even if pushed by a Caterpillar is the further step towards the impoverishment of this ridiculous luxury sector...The systems are always they cost a lot but they also often caused a mental orgasm, now these sensations are reduced to the bare bones for certain stereotypes! Where will we end up?

I don't get the Hurt by Nine Inch Nails comment on noise floor can someone explain? btw I can hear a bunch of static distortion throughout this video...
@ListenUp7 ай бұрын
I believe there's a static effect that's part of the recording, making you think it's noise from massive amps. But when you stop the track-dead quiet. Just an interesting way to see how quiet it is. Thanks for the comment.

I’m not a fan of McIntosh, they are far from the best out there. Rotel michi line has gotten a lot of praise especially there Amps.McIntosh speakers resale value is low and hard to sell on the used market.i would take sonus faber with rotel michi amps over McIntosh.

What's the problem with Mcintosh?
@Prometheus19798 ай бұрын
Nothing personal, I find their sound to just be average. There’s better gear out there then what McIntosh offers. People love McIntosh for their name, pretty lights and meters. I’m more about sonic performance over looks. That’s all just my personal opinion.
@ListenUp8 ай бұрын
Different strokes. McIntosh has a big, meaty sound with good detail and refinement while being smooth, flowy, non-fatiguing-you can listen for hours. Someone once described it as an iron fist in a velvet glove, which I thought was pretty accurate. Michi has some of the same characteristics but a little more lively, dynamic and punchy.
@Prometheus19798 ай бұрын
I’ve listened to a lot of McIntosh paired with b&w 800 diamonds. I’m personally not a fan of them. But it comes down to your listening preference as we all have a sound we prefer over another.
@cyberathlete7 ай бұрын
Ok so do you even own 10% of what this guy does or mouthing off what reviews are like? When you have the money then we will see. Until then just stfu and don't be envious. Not a good look. Especially from losers who drool over stuff like this but can't afford it so have to criticize it

No McIntosh and Rotel/Michi expensive pieces of junk.
@user-xx2hj7xb6b8 ай бұрын
Many listen but who actually buys this stuff? Those that can afford it and there are relatively few who can. Picture Taylor Swift strolling in there unannounced. As a recent billionaire, she would qualify as a potential buyer. Ever wonder what sort of sound system people like her own?

Most music artists have the worst systems. They don't give a damn about sound. But this is some great gear here
@user-xx2hj7xb6b8 ай бұрын
@@willowwale2000 Maybe not the worst systems but certainly systems that many audiophiles would consider mediocre.

You’d be surprised at the amount of money people have.
@user-xx2hj7xb6b8 ай бұрын
@@peterfreeman3317 Not really. I'm talking about the "average" consumer who doesn't have that kind of cash to put down on what's featured here. If he or she does, it would probably be at the expense of raiding their kids' college fund, tapping into their retirement savings, taking out a second mortgage on their home, or all of the above. We're talking about discretionary money that most people, even the upper-middle class, don't have.
@peterfreeman33178 ай бұрын
@@user-xx2hj7xb6b#1 you are an idiot if you pay for your kids college unless you are loaded. Secondly, people that are passionate about music and audio will spend it on gear they love at the expense of a big house, new car, etc. Maybe not Mac level but certainly way above Sonos/Bose quality. I see it weekly! This is true for any hobby or passion one has.
