Can you imagine celebrating the happiest moments of your life or joyful news and not finding the woman you used to tell first and before anyone else? Can you imagine a day without hearing your mother's voice or calls?..etc. There is a whole other difficult life behind the screen and behind this fake virtual world.. There are those mixed feelings that every person experiences when he puts his head on the pillow at the end of the day... Just living in the same house with memories slapping you left and right takes a lot of courage.

It is Sridevi's dream house. She described it accurately in the 80's and said "And in the meanwhile I’ll spend my time working" and dreaming of my own future house which will be like the one we now have in Madras (Chennai) - with plenty of greenery and the sea very close to it", 1984 Sridevi did not give her house in Mumbai 10% of the care and love that she gave to this house, because she did not feel that Mumbai was her home. "I'm here to do my work and then go back home, Bombay is not my home, Madras is my home", 1989 "I'm very much a Chennaiite at heart. My heart is always here", 2015 👌🏻 ... What a beautiful house 😍💚🌿

Such a well decorated house .. AMAZING! Loved the way Janhvi passionately shared the minute details. Surprisingly, the videography didn't do justice to capture the entire beauty of this house. Felt like the video was shot by some friend on the phone rather than a professional.

I love when she was talking about her mom’s first painting and Vogue’s cameraman couldn’t even show the painting properly. it’s a shame cuz this beautiful home tour could’ve been shot a lot better. None the less, she looks beautiful and can’t wait to see Khushi Kapoor in Zoya’s next. 🥹

Beautiful home and a beautiful home tour. Janhvi's mum's presence is in every corner of the room and the house. Her presence is in every painting she did and every artifact she bought to adorn her home. She has a equisite style in the home decor and in her life. She has left her reflection and her presence on every wall and every piece of art in the house. Her home is aesthetically rich and beautiful. Through her talent and style she has nourished her daughters with art, beauty and divine energy. And well done to their father for restoring the home to the former glory and restoring her memories and her life. It was a beautiful and very emotional journey. And two very strong, secure and stable minded girls. Well done to both the parents for bringing up two beautiful daughters so well.❤

Because she hated her mom for being controlling and not allowing her to do anything on her own.. sri was overprotective of her kids and hated her husband if he even talked to his other wives kids.. that's why he killed her.. got 1000s of crores of insurance money and now making a drama of being loving husband 🤣 he can't make fool of public though.. sadau budda...

It's so wonderful to see that it's a lived-in home, with stories and memorabilia. not a generic over the top sophistication but a simple maximalist style. feels like a home. would have loved to see more of it design-wise and architecture-wise, but the story telling was very kind, thank you for letting us into your lives.

Wow! That's such a dream house. They have such a great taste. If I had ever had a house like that I don't think I would have ever left. Feels like an antique shop/museum. I appreciate Jhanvi for being so open about everything it takes a lot of heart to revisit certain memories. She must have had some agreement with all that has happened in recent years.

I'm Canadian of Indian ethnicity, and I'm watching a lot of home tours as I'm moving, and I'm just accumulating ideas. What I love about India, is the west shows off a lot of cool "spaces" (which often feel isolated and lonely), but India shows us "homes", where the family, love, and the bonds are front and center. There's so much heart and warmth in this, and in India. Sometimes I think half my heart belongs to Goa, and the feeling of exiting a home into nature / beaches, instead of the restlessness of the city in Canada.

i m indian of indian ethnicity😆 and i watch a lot of western homes ...a huge chunck of them r quite asthetically designed and they do consider minimalism ,simplicity and "homely vibe" ..whearas most of the indians now a days decorate houses as if they r designing a bloody hotel room ...its just show off and that too in loud boisterous manner ..

I absolutely loved this home - Thank you for sharing Sridevi’s lovely home -I visualized Sridevi as the camera moved all over the house - I felt deep sadness for their loss - I’m glad they are trying to be brave - I know the sadness must be deep - Sridevi loved her family so much - I believe she is with them, watches over them and smiles at them

This house of Sridevi's is near my house! I have passed it atleast 20k times during my walks. The house is huge and I wondered how it would look like inside. Now we know! There is a famous art gallery opposite this house which I would visit!! Within 3 kms of Sridevi house, some celebrities also have homes like Mallu actress Sheela,. Old actress Bharati, Kanimozhi, Chiranjeevi owns a place, Hemamalini has a complex, Vyjyanti mala has independent house. Actress Jayasudha often walks in that area and had a place at Venus colony. Apart from this there is old house of kamal hassan, Rajni's house, Jaylalita's Veda Nilayam house. Dhanush is constructing new house here. Indra Nooyi is said to have bought home in Land which belonged to actress Jayachitra. Apart from this Director Atlee, Nayan, mallu actress Shobana, Mani Ratnam, Anu Hassan all own homes here. NTR family is also said to own a home in that area. Famous immigration lawyer based in US, Sheela Murthy also has her family home which she has apparently converted into office. Mallika Badrinath chef also has house in this area. A major idol theft guy's house is also in this area and it came in the news. Forgot his name. Old actress Devika had a flat in this area. KR Vijaya also became a resident of Alwarpet after she moved from Tnagar. Apparently Actors Nirosha and Ramki also live on end of Poes Garden opposite Stella Maris.

Atleast 2 streets away is Kanimozhi house. Old actress Bharati also is said to have house in that area. Most of the land in that area used to belong to AVM production when sridevi family would have bought.

Such a beautiful piece of art, so exquisitely adorned with the sculptures, paintings and exotic memorabilia. I almost felt being inside a museum, that was steeped in nostalgia and a sense of lingering sorrow. I liked how she is honest with her inner thoughts, probably a manifestation of all the pent up emotions of loving yet stern mother. I remember Sridevi ji once came to this suburban mall in Mumbai, where Khushi was demanding something from a shop, and witnessed her leonine authority enforced with a simple verbal denial, "No means No"

Khushi was a very demanding child in her childhood. I remember reading once that she once asked her father to move to a new house after he visited her friend's house and she wanted to have a horse for a similar reason.. Sridevi does not like to spoil children with pampering and she has spoken about this herself. Just because she's famous and a rich woman doesn't mean she has to say yes to everything and give her kids everything they ask for. She is a mother and knows the appropriate method with her children. I remember that she previously talked about the method of upbringing that she follows with them. Even Jhanvi herself said my mother wanted us to know the value of the things we get and appreciate them, and yet they ate the best food, wore the best clothes, had the best products and the latest electronic devices, and traveled to all countries

I love the house… which feels like a home. It has so much character & every corner has a story to tell. I hate how houses are being made today just with the aspect of luxury and copy paste.
