Finally a crime series without blaring music, repetitive dialogue, and annoying commentators. Well done. This gives us an inside view of how hard the police work to get these morons off the streets.

What is going on with these sentences , I am speechless, no wonder there is so much violent crime because even when found guilty they serve bugger all. Disgusting.

This was a while ago too, makes you wonder what they’re doing with their lives now, especially the young ones. You would hope they’ve stayed out of trouble but probably unlikely. Maybe some hope for the boy whose mum brought him in

So the postal robbers are probably out by now, then? Free to spend all that money.
@henkdevries2515 ай бұрын
So when these Post Office Robbers get out in 2 years time.(hospitalized by the government), they still got £45.000 each to spend. Sounds very lucrative coming from a country where you earn £50 a month.

So the post office thieves obviously hid the money with the intention of recovering it at a later date--in this case, after getting out of prison. I wonder if it's ever been recovered or if the police had a plan for finding it.

Very surprising that robbing nearly £200k from the PO with an imitation firearm received such a light sentence - especially as much of the cash hasn't been recovered. As a social worker I did a report on a guy who robbed an office with an imitation gun and got away with a few quid. He received a serious sentence. (It was an odd case - a highly educated professional who did it as a "joke". He also admitted during the interview to me as an officer of the Court that he'd done it, when he was pleading not guilty. When I rang his lawyer to explain I'd have to put this in my report, he said "how are you supposed to defend such a total moron?")

@David-nq4qi6 ай бұрын
Only criminals benefit from having the right to remain silent. If a drunk driver declines to take a breath test, he incurs the same penalty as if he blew over the limit. The same logic should apply to all offenses. The legal caution should be: “You have the right to deny any wrong-doing, but failure to give an acceptable answer to any reasonable question, or refusal to comment, will result in the maximum penalty for the offense of which you are accused”. If you agree with this, please discuss it, and get the law changed if you can. Meanwhile, you can play SPOT THE CRIMINAL. The most likely people to disagree (See any replies below) are going to be offenders, for whom the right to remain silent would be an advantage. They will give themselves away in their comments. If they are friends of yours, BEWARE. If you ask "Did you see where my phone or my wallet went? The thief will say "No comment".
@MrBigMalT5 ай бұрын
Agreed, this “no comment” bullshit must be so frustrating for the coppers.
