Күн бұрынThis is not endorsed by any blood services just a snap shot from when I was a Blood volunteer. I no longer do this for reason I can not discuss. I will return to it with another group where I can collaborate and help them to raise awareness which is why I made the video. When I was fund raising I found many people were unaware of Blood Bikes and what they do.

Richard Sherwin Hi Richard thank you. I don’t do it now as I am a parting Courier but I really enjoyed doing it. Nights can be tough going when it’s cold n wet. It gave me a reason to ride the bike. I’m not very good at just going for a ride for fun I like to have a reason to ride. Now I get paid for riding. Hope you get a place soon. Good luck. Thank you for watching.

Great video, watching makes me want to get involved even more. Passed my test a while ago and desperately saving for a bike... sadly a few personal issues have been in the way but light at the end of the tunnel so fingers crossed bike this year and start on the advanced riding!! Sorry to hear you're not blood running any more, but as a local to you (Uckfield area) it would be good to hear any advice you might have over a beer once this pub ban has been lifted!! Ride safe matey.

Thank you Some blood groups are in a mess with their management which is a shame because the don’t see a good opportunity to seek proactive positive help

I'm confused, how do you urgently do anything without blue lights? i seen a blood car on a run and it didn't have blue lights and was just in traffic? they should be fitted with blue lights or why bother....a blood bikes charity near me claims to save lives by urgently getting blood etc to hospitals yet none of their bikes or cars are fitted with blue lights and have to wait in traffic just like anyone else...yet they require advanced driving qualifications...dont see what separates these from normal people? i could go slap some high vis stickers on my car and sit in traffic and drive to a hospital whats the difference?

Only the group patrol bikes run Blues but they are rarely used as public react badly to them and put the volunteers at risk. We cannot speed and have not exemptions like police

Do have blue lights and sirens on your bike? Because it looks like you ran a red light at 2.26

Good video but disliked because the background music.... I would of preferred no music and able to hear you and the bike together rather than all that and then on silly music.

Most fire departments are volunteer also. Not EVERY job has to be paid.

@@user-jt5vm3mi1w why? The standards are the same paid or unpaid. You have to pass all the schooling, pass all the same practical exams. There is no difference in training. The only difference is one gets paid and one doesn’t. Over 80% of all firefighters in the US and Canada are volunteers. It keeps taxes down.
