my wife and I use pack talk bold, sometimes we struggle to hear each other at 30 meters with clear line of sight, let alone at 1.6km. Have tried sena as well with similar experiences. If it wasn't for the amount we have invested in cardo we would try something else. this is using mesh, haven't tried Bluetooth as the range would be even less.

Thousands of miles covered. Across all manner of conditions and situations. Using mesh have never breached 200meters. Buyers must be given realistic info

I love the Cardo product. I have had the Pactalk Slim, the Pactalk Black, and the new Pactalk Edge. They are great products but the range that you advertise is very misleading. I ride in a group weekly. The group is usually 8-10 riders with a 2-4 second following distance. Connection with the lead rider and sweep is tentative at best. No where near a kilometer. And riding in a straight line on a highway in the plains is not how most motorcyclists ride. A power booster option that could attach to the motorcycle might help. But the range numbers as advertised are very misleading.

Did you even watch the video. The 'advertised' maximum range is derived under 'perfect' conditions. Of course we wouldn't expect the same performance in real life circumstances.

@@nichiwodabian no…what video? I was supposed to watch the video before commenting? Of course I understand that is supposedly perfect conditions. But real life is so far off the mark that the “perfect conditions” isn’t even valid. I have seen another KZfaq Video reproducing perfect conditions and they get about 400 meters in a flat straight line.

we have both bold and edge, we rarely get 500m, communication breaks around 200m

I’m looking for advice please, I want to ride some scenic, in fact no, it has to be stunning, awesome landscapes, trees, (but they have to be small), iconic mountains, (but they have to be very small, small mounds of earth would be perfect), the road has to be as straight as an arrow with no hidden dips or rises, I want the entire road, mile after mile to be empty so just me and my buddy can talk to each with a signal strength of 1, if it dips to a 2, your recommendations will be worthless. Did I mention the mobile phone and communication masts, there mustn’t be any, anywhere in that hemisphere. Eagerly awaiting your suggestions. 👍

what?? ! Ok - so don't ride near cars, keep your head only facing forward and only one person at a time can talk? this is silly, no? everything I've read people can rarely get more than 200m, why not give realistic info?

all but one of my helmets have Cardo just because I need to get another unit. Love them it's cool I live right around the corner of your HQ by the way in Rananna see it all the time wish I could visit.

I love that my unit has died in just 7 months and 5 days before i leave for the Tail of the Dragon. Best part can't get ahold of anyone to try to get mine fixed or buy a new unit in time. No shipping options on the website. I like Cardo but Sena is starting to look more tempting by the minute!

Hello friends, I have the pactalk bold model. My problem is that I can create groups in DMC mode. I can join groups, but I cannot start and end calls in groups. I reset the factory settings. I reinstalled the software but I couldn't solve it. Does anyone know the solution?

Dropout is always the most annoying thing. Every rider paired to another rider will be most affected by riders out of sight. Performance in this scenario is all that matters to me.

What a joke it’s a line of sight, if I get a turn ahead of my group signal is lost. This test is best case scenario, perfect weather and nothing in the way. Get out of here with this BS test!
