I spent a few days in Munich, Ingolstadt and Nurnberg and the best lager I found was called Helles Schlenkerla Lagerbier. Check it out, though I could only find it in shops in Ingolstadt

The Iraqi guy was telling you the bread was Iraqi bread If you want to ask for something ‘Ich möchte …’ I would like and then just say Danke for thank you ( I’m sure you know this one) they’ll reply ‘ bitte’ which is welcome I used to live in the Balkans so we would get a lot of Turkish, Middle Eastern foods so it was nice to see the food again. That flat bread if you go to a Turkish place is ‘pide’ you’ll get toppings on it and it’s delicious and cheap. ‘Es tut mir leid’ is I’m sorry you can use this for various ways even it’s not grammatically correct people will appreciate you trying. eins -1 zwei-2 drei-3 Walking on the street in Munich drinking in the day time isn’t illegal but it’s kind of what a wee tramp would do 😂 so it’s not the best look. Day time drinking is a slippery slope but I was saying to my husband that you were drinking on the street ( he used to live in Germany) and he says I forget how much Brits drink even though I am one 😂😂😂and it’s normal for Brits to do this 😂😂😂😂 I hope you enjoy Munich we love Germany and would love to live there at some point. The German people are so kind and the food is amazing. Look for your local ratskeller and go for dinner there and get a beer and you’ll experience home German cooking.
