Wow....when you see things like this really make up you appreciate where you came up...I was born in east Oakland and moved to Fresno...I was bad in Oakland and I was expelled from kindergarten in 2 schools...I was a bully always fighting. We moved to Fresno when I was almost 8 and my grandparents raised us in church and that calmed me down...but i was still mouthy and a fighter....i know if I would’ve stayed in Oakland I would’ve been dead or in jail right about now...God is GOOD....Amen....

Raymar was my boy, I had Ms Lombera’s class with him in the 3rd Grade and Mr Stephen’s class with him in the 4th, after the 5th I went to Walton so I didn’t see him until we hit the 9th grade at C-High we was both in Ms Clarks 2nd Period English Enrichment class, Our final grade for the second semester depended on an essay we had to do, he asked me to help him because if he Failed he was going to get kicked off the football team, he scored a 4 on his essay and passed the class with a B, I still remember him sayin “a Gilbert you’re cool man you been the homie since Longfellow that’s why I asked you to help me and now I’m gonna stay on the Football team” found out in September at the start of the next school year that he was gone, RIP WOO!

It always intrigued me that “gangsters “ or people in da hood, entire world is confined to a few blocks within a city. Its like they dont even relize there is an entire world out there..Reminds me of the perspective of an ant 🐜. man to think how some people had/have to grow up makes you really appreciate life that much more lol. i couldn't fathom a childhood like that. or see my kids have to grow up in a environment like that. i'm from the hood, but not a neighborhood like that. i come from a project like that but my parents moved me out when i was 5 years old. they would go back just to visit their friends & i would go with them but that's about it. when i adapted to my new neighborhood & made friends i stop going back with them altogether. sense then the project been tour down and remade as a tourist attraction. I believe that is the reason i am the way i am today. whereas the people that had to grow up till they were adults in that project are the way they are today. i know pretty much all of them & they are wild as fuck lol. some of them are my cousins. they call me a nerd, geek, pretty boy etc lol, but they say it with love because they also say i am one of them because I'm from the same project they are from. all in all i should count myself lucky & thank my parents for moving me out & providing me a house to grow up in.

I've never had a problem over the many years I've lived here.
