I 100% agree with Mr. Leonard. I’m 74 years young American Black woman born in the US and reared in South Texas. What attracted me to Nollywood was the acting and the positive portrayal of Africa. As I former Middle school teacher of social studies, it is absolutely that Africa is not presented in a positive light. Africa is the riches Continent in the world who was/is stolen of her natural resources. I’m glad we get to see the people as prosperous and fluent in all aspects of life. I love the glorious movie settings and that our people are highly educated. My family traced our beginnings to a slave, Sara, that ship landed in West Virginia then later sold off and moved to Louisiana and Texas. I love my heritage and bid you God’s speed.

I love these movies because I learn about my African heritage. I think Nigeria is beautiful country and like any developing country has struggles. I see a people who are hardworking. Black people in American are not aware of their African heritage. I have learnt a lot about your culture. Kudos to the script writers and the performance of the actors for bringing the stories to life. My favorite actors Freddie Leonard, Jerry Williams and Destiny Etiko.

For example, in the series "I NEVER KNEW MY WIFE IS A PROSTITUE" addresses the involvement of churches in prostitution and immorality which was also addressed by George Bernard Shaw in MRS. WARREN'S PROFESSION of the late Victorian Britain -- you can imagine the wrath of the British "elite" and the sarcastic aspect of "gentlemen and ladies"...lol
