It is better than the corporate propaganda that is literally almost all American Media. My favorite franchise Star Wars is a perfect example, as many characters exist only to sell you toys. Under capitalism the propaganda isn't government, it's branding. And it's a lot more subtle because you have to manufacture consent to get somebody to buy something they won't normally buy
