It's not about Northeast, West, North or South, the cost factor remains the same, in fact some countries offer pilot training at lower cost than in India, if someone from Northeast or anywhere wanted to become a pilot they can go to any flight school. It's good to see a new flight school open up though.

Exactly... Leave pilot training... Even the cadet pilot programs for abroad citizens are soo cheap... No matter how this media glorifies pilot training in india its just money sucking business

@@nikex12 Yup, its mostly a business, they only sell then commercial training and most students don't know that its almost impossible to be hired without a type rating which again costs almost as much as the pilot training, there are hundreds of people who hold commercial pilots license in India

@John Hero Yes... Pilot career should be seen as yet another job... That's it.... And it's we the students who have hyped it soo much and the KZfaqrs Give God Level Hype of being a pilot... All these have made the Demand go up and Filght Schools and Airline companies grab this opportunity to milk money as much as possible... With the Reality being totally different with '0' employment.

@Bhavin_Lathia

Okay most of the things do not make sense. I mean it's not about northeast people not getting opportunities for being a pilot. All the other flight schools in India or abroad are open to everyone. If someone from northeast wanted to become a pilot they could have joined any flight school in India or abroad. There are no state quotas or such or any restrictions that someone from this state cannot join here. Flight schools do not care about where are you from or race, gender, ethnicity etc. They only care about if you have enough money for the training and enough brain that you don't crash their aircraft. Why are there so many cabin crew from north east in Aviation industry? People wanted to become cabin crew, they went for it. One of the biggest factors, why there are so few pilots in india is because the cost is so freaking high for training. Redbird Aviation themselves charge from 42-48 lakhs for CPL. The cost should have been addressable topic and not what these people are saying. Even I am an aspirant and studying for my exams. The only hurdle I have is that I do not have financial reserves to afford such amount and choose a fancy flying school. Its the financial hurdle and not that I don't have opportunities. I am very happy that Indian Aviation training infrastructure is improving and northeast had its first ever Aviation School. No doubts in that, redbird itself became one of the best flying schools in india in couple of years and has about 5 bases now. But, comment by these people absolutely make no sense.

This is the most sensible comment here. Kudos to you for speaking your mind. And to add to it, the pilot shortage is at the higher level like most jobs here in India, even aviation is crowded at the entry level. Unless the infrastructure helps reduce cost, it is pointless in my opinion to open more flying schools.
@Bhavin_Lathia
@Bhavin_Lathia 2 жыл бұрын
@@KuldeepSingh-yf6uj Thank you for appreciating and that is very true. As per latest data, there are 3000+ CPL holders, and 1500+ Type rated pilots who are unemployed. Even if there are vacancies, these airlines are asking upto 70 lakhs for the airline training... which is absurd. Aviation sector is becoming more like money printing machine. If these issues can't be addressed then there is no point in churning out pilots to make entry level more and more crowded with false promise of jobs.

I honestly wouldn't choose Red Bird Academy for my PPL or my CPL certification. They recently also had a cessna 172 hard landing on their runway at Baramati, the damage was considerable. Their standards in safety are very low, and they Pump these "Our student got his PPL in just 3-6 months kind of adverts very often". Which is not actually possible for someone how is starting from scratch. Even if they do pass, they are still not ready for the real world as they need clock ample flying hours to even feel confident. Most people fail the CPL tests cuz they simply haven't got enough experience the stuff that They've actually studied. Studying abroad for aviation is still the best choice. The quality of education is very essential in the field of aviation. I truly wish the standards for Indian flight training were a bit better.

So 1st you pay for cpl taht is around 35-40 lakhs then type that’s around 12-21 depends on aircraft and then u end up paying the Airlines 50-75 lakhs to get the job what airline says as training cost. 1. I do not know but i have a gut feeling that these people who are so called instructors don't seem emanating that combat or military vibe this is something different. 2. One of the requisites for a pilot training school to have felicitous results is to have a bigger ratio of Air Force, Navy, Army veterans especially those who themselves retired as pilots, and i see no man / woman in those instructors who even shows the Army Vibe even they can hardly talk officerly (female captain couldn't even assert gracefully herself in front of the camera when the news anchor asked her about the aircraft and academy) i mean these people are just like callow/novices . I wish these aspirants have a good training ahead. May god help and bless them all. Only one man was a Army Veteran who spoke in very starting.

Pilots are in very short supply. There is a huge demand in India and in the middle east, SE Asia etc. The authorities should also set up a institute to train more ATCs., as these people will also be in high demand in India as more airports come on stream in the next few years.
