Because children are like sponges that absorb every information they experience about the world due to their limited knowledge of it, although it becomes a problem if too much traumatic or stressful experiences are internalized, since children are driven by emotions (for instance, for them discovering new things is like the best thing that ever happened to them, or making mistakes, being rejected or not having what they want is like the end of the world) But once you become a teenager you start to use the knowledge you learned to put yourself and others to a test. You start pushing boundaries to see if it’s worthy, as the natural path for self-discovery, so you can adapt yourself once you reach adulthood. And while you’re still driven by emotions (this time more extreme because of hormones), you’ve already developed enough self-awareness at this point to balance them.
@MLaak86Күн бұрын
I think that was something they deliberately put effort into, creating that sense we're all more than simply the meat suit of a bunch of anthropomorphic emotions - since while the first film did imply there was a core personality that could influence the emotions as much as they could influence Riley it never spelled it out in the same way we see with Riley not doing things just cause the console is used.

Towards the beginning of the movie I was really hoping something would happen to anxiety, but as time went on I understand more and more that anxiety really was doing what she thought was best for Riley (similar what Joy was doing in the first movie). The Inside Out franchise has only shown why all of our emotions are so important

What I especially loved about Inside Out 2 is that they portrayed anxiety perfectly. This scene made me cry not necessarily because it's sad, but because it's so relatable to me as I struggle with anxiety disorder myself. In short, I cried because it was all too real.

@kawaiiduncan Panic attacks are sudden and intense bursts of fear or terror, while anxiety attacks are characterized by persistent and ongoing worry and physical symptoms. And the main difference is that certain stressors often trigger anxiety attacks, and they may build up gradually. In contrast, panic attacks typically happen unexpectedly and suddenly. Anxiety often causes physical symptoms, such as a racing heart or knots in your stomach.

The great thing in this scene is when Riley calms down, she focuses on what she can hear (the team), smell (when she breathes), and touch (when she feels the bench). This is a real way of helping an anxiety or panic attack - to bring yourself into the present moment by focusing on what you can sense right now.

When i was watching Inside Out 2, it was honestly amazing how accurate and relatable Riley was, especially the anxiety attack. I have this thing where i become extremely stressed out and uncomforatable during loud noises happening all at once (such as crowds of alot of people talking) and this scene is basically how i feel during this. Even the part where Riley calms down and touches the desk to get her head straight and remember where she is, is just so accurate

This scene almost made me cry, and not because it was sad or something like that ... I too struggled with anxiety in the past, I had negative thoughts all the time and went to that extreme where I couldn't enjoy what I used to like because I was always overthinking and feeling like I wasn't enough, I was too harsh on myself, always pushed harder until I felt empty and stopped working towards my objectives ... I knew that feeling, anxiety was perfectly portrayed in this movie and that one hit hard. The fact that in the end she formed a completely new identity, keeping both the good and the bad resonated deeply with me, because I really identified with that, maybe I couldn't do it by myself and I needed therapy, but I know my identity is composed too from the good and the bad that has happened to me.
