Wasn't the story of the first movie focusing entirely on how Joy's toxic positivity was detrimental to Riley's well-being? Smh.

Not worrying about awkward, bad memories isn’t really toxic positivity. It’s pretty healthy
@tobeornottobe561129 күн бұрын
@@foilenjoyer8667Joy consciously yeeting the memories out of existence is exactly the type of thing she would've done pre-character development. Booooo character assassination.
@foilenjoyer866729 күн бұрын
@@tobeornottobe5611 just because she would’ve done something pre-character development doesn’t mean she wouldn’t do it after. that wasn’t the part of her personality that was changed. she’s still positive. and forgetting about awkward memories is really not toxic
@tobeornottobe561129 күн бұрын
@@foilenjoyer8667I'm not saying forgetting awkward memories is toxic but, Joy, the character, making them disappear for Riley's "benefit" is. Also, Joy taking this kind of action is out of character since the whole journey she went on was to realize that Riley can't and shouldn't be happy 24/7 and all emotions have some kind of upside to them even if Joy doesn't like it.
@kidinkling669429 күн бұрын
@@tobeornottobe5611In my opinion, the two seem kinda the same but also kinda different at the same time. People (and even emotions) don’t always stay the way they have changed forever. It’s hard to change and to keep up those changes once you’ve made them. Joy could be experiencing the same thing. Also the other emotions didn’t look like they were being overshadowed by Joy this time like they were in the first movie, they agree with her with sending the not so good memories to the back of her mind, and so do I. It is healthy to acknowledge and then forget those kinds of things. They won’t go away forever and they will come back to bother you from time to time but mostly you won’t think about them that often. Only sometimes. 😊

This gonna end BAAAAD. We learn from mistakes, and those "horrible memories" teach us, we learn from them, for example, Riley would learn from penalties with that memory, but now she doesn't. You have to learn from the bad to improve, not deny it because we are always going to make the same mistakes.

They should make a new emotion called intuition/gut feeling
@jaysonjackson345526 күн бұрын
That's more of an aspect of your intelligence, not really an emotion. It would probably be a function on the console or a part of the outer brain.
@ItsJordanfromyourgrave25 күн бұрын
@jaysonjackson3455 yea I agree I guess it's apart of listening to your body and your thoughts as well
@denco3725 күн бұрын
As you said it"s à feeling... not an emotion :)
@ItsJordanfromyourgrave25 күн бұрын
@denco37 sooo a gut feeling isn't an emotion? Let's prove your theory Googles info: Emotions are felt in the gut. Feelings such sadness, anger, nervousness, fear and joy can be felt in the gut. there's a deep neurological basis for intuition. Scientists call the stomach the “second brain” for a reason. (Which is why i agree with the other person its more so would be located in the outer part of the brain) The vagus nerve sends information from your gut to your brain, and when the nerve is working properly, the brain sends back the right response immediately the vagus nerve sends a message to the brain. So if Riley's emotions are in her brain and these are her core frontal emotions,you don't think based off of her experiences in life is gonna build her intuition we all have intuition/gut feeling. So I can't imagine this not being apart of future movies or at least being talked about when it comes to learning about your emotions.
@ItsJordanfromyourgrave25 күн бұрын
@denco37 as a matter of fact Riley already has some stepping stone of a gut feeling or intuition in works bc in the first movie at the end she got off the bus after trying to runaway from home she got off the bus and went back home and talked to her parents,so if she didn't have any ounce of intuition of something bad she would have left and ran away like she wanted too.
