You're paying for the brand, not the specifications of the jet.

I don't think you realize the crazy cost that goes into an aircraft not to mention an all-new plane. This plane is priced just about right for its class. Bombardier Global 5500 will cost you $46 Million... Then a Falcon 7x was cheaper but not anymore I believe they are topping $50 million these days. The bulk of the cost is the engines then the airframe and R&D. The rest is manufacturing and profit. The passenger compartment is a sliver of the cost. A lot of companies will completely​ redo the interior for the starting price of $500K. ​

I should have mentioned before my first post this is a very advanced large cabin international jet that is meant to fly continent to continent at 700 mph in pure opulence. You can find plenty of smaller jets that can do US coast to coast for $12 Million or so but you will only be able to fit 6 or so passengers and be restricted to regional and domestic flights. This is just another level when it comes to aircrafts.

That's the whole idea, you travel with few people as possible, you show up at the plane 10 minutes before departure, whatever food, drinks, movies on board is what you requested, and your baggage can be over weight and you don't have to deal with airport personnel patting you down.

Only thing on a plane that is metric is sometimes the bolts holding the battery cells together. But we need special fittings for batteries so our shop and thus the company buys them

I'm comparing it to the Honda Civic Jet because that's how horrible the interiror looks.

You only want to spend 4million. You'll have to buy a 1970's embrear 135. It'll cost 1million a year in maintenance though. And it's smaller and shorter and not as fuel efficient and old avionics.
