You are brave - but I'm also glad u did this. Its never an entire community that is the problem, but rather a few who make things difficult for others. Was nice to see just a standard SA community going about life like anywhere else in the country. I wish it was possible to root out the gangs there so that the residents could enjoy more peace. Great job on learning isiXhosa too! Thanks for sharing ❤

As a German who is currently doing a voluntary service in Botswana I love this video. I've been also visiting lots of local bars and of course people were looking at me a lot and asked for drinks but when they see you speaking a few words in their own language and see that you are interested in the culture and in the way they live they are super friendly. Idk what it is but especially when they see a white guy drinking black label they freak out. So shout-out to my African brothers and sisters I've learned a lot from you.

Yeah that's where you're destined to live as a black SA while the whites your slave masters are living luxurious lives in your ancestral land and instead of using your energy to liberate yourselves from the whites whom you have been slaves to for centuries rather you channeled that energy for xenophobic attacks on your fellow black Africans. Black SA has no identity

Your videos prove being open to listening and learning about other's culture/language breaks down that negative focus. I love this. Thank you for this bro. The stigma spread by the media about Khayelitsha and most of South Africa's township only paints them in a bad light. So Shout out to you bro. PS: it seems Germans and German speaking people take to isiXhosa. I've worked with a few German students in the past in association with Kolping SA and VPUU, around Site C in Khayelitsha, and they took to isiXhosa quite easily.

Beautiful video. I like that most people who are going to watch the video based on the title is going to be disappointed because you went to Khayelitsha and everybody that you met showed you love. This video shows the part of townships that people in the suburbs don't want to know. Everyone you talked to in the city before going to Khayelitsha said all negative things and I bet 90% of them have never been there (the black guy from DRC included). The young men said best "Khayelitsha is home to 1M people", you go there, you find people living life, kids running the streets and all that. Yes. there are gangs, but they normally fight amongst themselves.
