Inside The $600 Million Sailing Yacht A
The superyacht business is booming. It is not once in a blue moon that we see billionaires building a superyacht worth $600 million. Today we will be talking about the Sailing Yacht A, the superyacht simply called “A” of the Russian billionaire and businessman set to rule the sea with this giant vessel.
The Sailing Yacht A is taller than the regular yachts you see in this category. It stretches about 468 feet or 142 meters and resides with seven luxurious and extravagant bedrooms with unparalleled ambiance and facilities, surpassing the other competent yachts as the architecture is the feature where it takes edge over lurssen yachts. Everything from the boat’s exterior to the interior is made to perfection by giving attention to the details.
But this is not how we are going to show you the interior. We will take you on a detailed tour inside the $600 million superyacht known as the Sailing Yacht A.
The interior of this whopping $600 million yacht was designed by Philippe Stark and some naval architects. The yacht is accommodated with eight decks connected through a series of elevators. These elevators make it easy to go from one place to another because of their massive size.
Apart from that, the Sailing Yacht A also has an underwater surveillance area to check out the wonders underwater. The area is luxurious and has pillows for lying down and looking at the fish. The glass has no chance of breaking because it uses sturdy 1-foot glass for collision protection. So, it is safe to say that you can enjoy your holiday to the fullest.
When you explore the decks, you will find a touch-and-go helipad and a submarine packed with numerous other amenities you will find on a massive superyacht. There are three swimming pools on deck and a single massage pool with both his and her massage facilities.
The crew members onboard are a game-changer for the superyacht’s owner. Inside, up to 54 crew members run the yacht, and they also handle the hotel, powerplant, and hotel servicing on board. Most of the jobs, such as opening the sails and dropping the anchors, are done electrically with a push of a button.
The volume of the superyacht is far-fetched on its own, providing a quality of life and everyday living accommodation to the fullest on board.
If you think you can easily get bored with the life of the sea, no problem at all. If you are bored in the middle of the Sailing Yacht A, it also comes with water toys.
The ship’s interior is well-designed and aesthetic. The main staircase in the ship is made of a delicate silver-lead and a beautiful hand-carved banister costing a hefty $60,000.
The spacious owner’s suite is larger than most of the lavish apartments around the world. Security in the master’s suite is pretty tight, and only authorized persons such as the owner can enter it by providing a fingerprint. This means you cannot get into the master’s suite without scanning your finger on the pad. This room is only accessible to the owners and the selected staff members. This is not it; the suite has a 60-inch TV that pops down from the roof and goes in when no one is using it.
The bathrooms of the Sailing Yacht A have solid fixings and fittings, such as a shower faucet which was specifically picked to match the tiles and color of the bathroom. This luxurious item costs about $40,000.
For Russian taste, the bedroom also has bombproof glass and a rotating bed.
If the Sailing Yacht A only comes with a master’s suite, where will the rest of the guests go? The guest rooms are done totally in a white color pattern. The guests are provided with their sitting area and a spectacular view.
The vessel is also loaded with a lavish lounge with a finish of leather and wood furniture. One of the most noticeable pieces of furniture here is a chair that resembles a human head. This is specifically made for the owner.
The Sailing Yacht A consists of about four tenders, and all of them are designed by Philippe Stark and built in New Zealand. The first tender is the owner’s space and is meant for the owner and associates. Not only this, the lower tenders are small vessels that can reach the top speed of 50 knots and are used for bringing guests on board.
The Sailing Yacht A has a whopping speed of 21 knots. One of the most important factors kept under consideration during the building of this massive boat was to keep it lightweight and weigh down as much weight as possible. The goal eventually was to achieve a cruising speed of at least 16 knots and 21-knots top speed and keep it silent simultaneously.
