I played football in high school here in the states and this is so cool to watch. One thing people underestimate is the difference between playing without pads/helmet and playing with them on. You have to get used to the extra weight, and especially the restriction on peripheral vision with the helmet

I'm from the UK and played in this league, and some teams do get an ex-ncaa American or two in the team... And they tear shit upp! 🏈

In a game of American football, the goal is to score points by getting the ball into the other team's end zone. The team will the ball is called the offense. The leader of the offense is the quarterback. Before each play, the quarterback gets the team into position. Once the ball is snapped, he can hand it off to his running back, he can keep the ball and run, or the quarterback can throw the ball down the field to one of his receivers. The job of the offense is to outsmart and outrun the defense. The job of the defense is to tackle the player with the ball. They're laser focused on chasing down the ball carrier and stopping him, right in his tracks. And when the offense finally scores, it's called a touchdown. It gives the team 6 points and a chance to celebrate. After a touchdown, the offense can play it safe by kicking a field goal for 1 extra point or they can go for a risky 2 points by taking the ball into the end zone again.
