it's quite amazing that this woman has an entire museum of her family's 800 year history, what a privilege.

I get the sense that Dominic isn't allowed to be left alone in this house.

Could we please get a 12-part, 60 minute episode series of Catharine FitzGerald taking us through those exquisite rooms. The architecture, history, design, everything is incredible. Those colors!!! Each room is as wonderful as the next and she’s such a lovely person. The gardens alone were stunning.

I find it hilarious that the man who is credited for building the home only did so because he married an heiress. Just as the man showing us the tour is only credited with owning the home because he married a woman as well

That tour was amazing...a bit short to be honest...I could listen to her for hours....the architecture, the design, the history, the furniture, the colors, the gardens...everything was so enchanting...who wouldn't live there?...they should open the castle's doors to the public so ordinary people can enjoy this masterpiece 😊

It's fascinating to see very old families, like hers, with castles like this, often it seems that the castle (or The Castle) comes to like an actual member of that family, in its own right. The Family that lives in it imbues it with a certain character... and then that Character is reflected in future generations of the family that grow up there.

I live not not far from here and I've always wanted to visit (which I think might alarm the inhabitants if I should arrive on all curious 😂) - so it's a real treat to see the inside and hear about the family history. It's one of the things I love about living in ireland is the history, every town, all the castles occupied or ruined, all the old celtic sites and the beautiful scenery. I feel so blessed to live in this wonderful country. ❤️

Love these two; just so down to earth and at ease with each other - he's beautifully mad (not literally) and she's so serene and calm - and that lovely home they are both a part of.

It’s really nice to see this castle thriving. So many of these beautiful, historical homes are left to go to ruin.

Their dynamic is so cute. Her being so poised and devoted to the history of her home, and then he's bounding around following her, being cheeky and sharing the colorful details. It's just so sweet watching them interact 😊

this woman is so lucky to have grown up surrounded by her family's history like this, and get to live in the same house that her ancestors lived in hundreds of years ago. im jewish american, so because of pogroms forcing my ancestors out of europe and immigrating to america, i will never get to know what my ancestors were like or where they lived. and even if i could, the houses and towns they once lived in are probably completely gone. it's so rare to have such a strong connection to your past like this, im glad to see how much they both care about preserving the home, and keeping the memory of all of these people alive. not everyone is able to do that!!

Wow, the most beautiful interior paint I''ve ever seen. The colors are impossibly gorgeous. The rosy red dining room, the pink and yellow sitting room, the greens, the yellow guest room. . .watched it twice just to look at the interior paint. Also amazing gardens. And she looks just like all her stunningly beautiful and delicate female ancestors. Magical!

I could've watched a full hour of this! The hostess is so gracious and informative and her husband is quite the charmer, lovely balance.

Came here for Dominic West and fell in love with Catherine Fitzgerald. Google their London home; it's timeless, vibrant and very family friendly. Although the West-Fitzgeralds say they didn't use a designer for the London remodel, Ms. Fitzgerald is really a stellar designer through and through, be it landscapes or interiors.

Wow! this Glin castle/mansion looks quite stunning. So, I've now found the setting for my movie project, and with four movie scripts locked down already I'm getting mighty excited to lock down the finally three in my seven scripts. My movie project is based in Manhattan and Limerick. And it's a crime, damra, romance that's all about the vile Manhattaner, Rosslyn 45, and hunky guy about town, Jack 26. They're both Americans but Jack finds himself going to Glin, Limerick to find his missing sister, Maria, but not only does he find his sister after 11 years, he also fine's someone else in the stunning Glin village. The beautiful Limerick girl, Amy, and that's where his world chances forever. But with Jack always keeping an eye over his shoulder for the crazy Rosslyn he's in two minds whether to bring the stunning Amy back to Manhattan with him. Cos wherever the dangerous Rosslyn is there's always a threat to him and the people he loves. And there's only so many people that he can protect against vicious Rosslyn, she's not called the most dangerous female in US history by the FBI for nothing. Cheers.
