The fact the Ebay honchos walked out of this without going to prison is yet just another example of how corrupt and unbalanced our justice system is because if Ebay is doing this 100% there are definitely other companies out there doing the same. This case just serves as a lesson to them on what mistakes to avoid.

@@JudgedMentalMusic As a small international seller, it's really hard to not sell on Ebay. There are many reasons to not wanna sell on Ebay anymore, this story is just the icing on the cake. They have terrible seller protection and recently have been taking business actions which directly negatively influences small sellers, the same sellers which made Ebay big and popular in the first place... But at the same time It has one of the largest customer base, as opposed to for example Amazon you can sell without owning an official business, you can sell niche products internationally which there are no alternative online markets for etc. Would I love to sell somewhere else than Ebay? Sure, especially knowing since Ebay is a daughter company from Adevinta, which almost have a monopoly on international classifieds sites. But without Ebay I could not run this business right now, alternative websites to Ebay just don't have enough customers... Remember, it's not only the sellers responsibility, buyers also need to learn to maybe first check alternative websites (or better yet, buy from sellers directly using their websites!) instead of going directly to Ebay all the time...

It’s frightening enough to have a relentless stalker harassing you… but to find out it’s the executive staff of a major Fortune 500 company and all their resources… that is CRAZY! This is not the first time Silicon Valley had stalkers like this. eBay is legit run by the mob. I had a store that was doing 6-figures per month many years ago, and the amount of harassment by eBay was staggering. They targeted my account by removing my listings day after day, for violating their policies…after I’ve been selling the same stuff for many years. The worst company I have ever dealt with. They even had the audacity to call me a couple years after asking why my sales volume dropped off a cliff, like what! How can the FBI say that when Steve Wymer wrote "I want to see ashes" and "as long as it takes. Whatever it takes" that there was no evidence, especially when those below him (the team of seven) were indicted and charged with a crime? He instructed a team to fulfill a mission, and they set out and acted on that command... there is definitely a connection and not just puffery involved here. Steve Wymer, at the very least, should have been charged with a crime and eBay should have removed Steve from the board on the spot. Keeping this also in mind, Steve Wymer is not the "company" as Fmr. Prosecutor Andrew Lelling stated, Steve is a Person, and that person instructed a team to harass a husband and wife with serious intent to harm. There is proof by text messaging that Steve Wymer called the shots, and that his team moved on his orders. There is no mistake about it, Steve Wymer should have been indicted and charged with a crime.

eBay treats its sellers like garbage. I've been one for nearly 25 yrs with over 25,000 sales there. Only recently did they add more transparency that allows you to track what your net profit is on each sale. The way they collect fees on shipping charges has been an outrage for a long time. I don't like that they do it, but since they do, they could at least introduce a feature to recalculate the fee on the front-end, so that the seller's out of pocket costs are still covered after the eBay seller fee is charged. The whole scheme is designed to be complex and opaque, to keep sellers in the dark and squeeze them for every last penny. Meanwhile while they roll out fee change and policy change, the API gets worse. Now they've made it so that the seller's description is deprecated, if it's larger than a small paragraph you have to click to actually view it. Not surprised at all that some of their employees dehumanize their own customers to the point that they stalk and harass them for kicks.

eBay is full of scandalous behaviors. I won an auction item some years ago and all of a sudden after being told it was mine it became unavailable. The seller was a long-standing seller and eBay told me he was going to be banned for what happened but that never happened.

That husband is so emotional over this which shows how much he loves his wife. He was trying desperately to control himself, his anger, his pain, and his temperament. Hard to watch 😢 These people acted like common thugs and it was so unnecessary. Our world is literally crazy from top to bottom. Sheesh

The Husband felt he didn't do enough even though they both did the right thing by reporting the death threats allegation to police that sparked all of this to take place.

Not acted like, they’re criminals. Common criminals don’t have these sweeping powers.

I’m thinking that he might have spasmodic dysphonia that makes his voice sound that way. I don’t think it’s from emotion that his voice cracks and wavers.

At no point did they consider buying a gun…? They talked about sleeping in separate rooms so one can escape. Are you kidding me?

60 minutes please please please do a longer segment on this. Please push for something to happen to these people that got away with this. I've been an eBay seller for 20 years and sadly this doesn't surprise me. Please

Just watching made me hold my breath. Can't imagine the level of horror this couple went through. I hope the case ends in their favor!

I've been buying and selling on eBay off and on since 2008. This case disturbs me to a serious degree. I first heard about this last year, but to know the full extent of the terrorism they were subjected to from the top down makes me want to give up on using that site at all. eBay has moved away from everything that made it accessible and easy to use back in the early 00s.

It's called gangstalking. And it is going on through a national network of secret societies. The evil ones are in the background telling the stalkers what to do, where to go, how to carry out an operation. It's evil versus the Good Hearts. I've had five flat tires in five years, brake lines cut twice, and a bolt removed from my steering assembly which should have resulted in losing a tire. Creator was with me and all of their attempts to cause serious harm were thwarted.

Sorry to hear this. In this case the CEO and COO chose to act like cult leaders and the employees did it because they were ordered to send death threats and harass all for dictatorial reasons related to looking good in front of investors.

Me too! Ever since Meg Whitman became CEO! Shes worst of the worst! Before her, everything was great, now everything is about the customers. And shes the worst CEO. Her salary is $22.5 mil. They chose her cus shes a woman, not that matters but you know how they are, that's what they do to get customers. Its all about the money, its too bad some of the rich ppl are forgotten. Thats why politicians are making you care only a few handful of them.i love early '00. love it, it was perfect.
