We share some DIY playhouse furniture and tour the Ghostbusters playhouse interior. We are making a Real Ghostbuster firehouse playset for our son. This Ghostbusters playhouse Interior & Furniture is inspired from the 80's toys, movies and cartoons. This update video is focused on making of the Ghostbusters playhouse interior furniture, props, and decor on the different floors. We are drawing inspiration for the design of this extreme DIY playhouse off the Ghostbusters filming locations. The exterior of the Firehouse building in New York, Hook & Ladder Company 8 and the interior of the Fire Station No. 23 in Los Angeles. We also got a few ideas from looking over our sons Ghostbusters firehouse Playmobil set and the LEGO Ghostbusters Firehouse Headquarters images online, wish we had that! Other inspirations for ideas came from the Ghostbusters video game and The Real Ghostbusters animated TV series cartoon.

It's always great to see real fans use their creativity on projects like this, so many great details! Harrison is such a lucky little boy :) It's looking awesome! I think my favorite is the "mood slime" detail and the Carpathian kitten being painted in lol

That's a great idea we would definitely have to modify it so he fits. He grew out of his a while back. It was really nice someone offered us their coupe they had already fixed up like Ecto-1 a while back. I guess we could have got it for decoration to park next to his playhouse.

Oh my god that is literally the best thing I have ever seen on youtube, I'm so glad I just found your channel. My son is also mad for ghostbusters and would love this, he's 5 years old tomorrow and I've just managed to find the real ghost busters firehouse on Ebay for christmas for him. Pity our garden is so small and that we live in rainy old england. I almost cried when I watched your son open the holly wood ghost buster certificate. Harrison is so energetic, but not nearly as much as you guys, parenting an overly imaginative child, working, doing KZfaq and finding time to build the greatest playhouse the world has ever seen, I honestly don’t know how you guys do it!!!! Damn good piece of workmanship. The building is obviously rock-solid and safe (Safe enough to hold the weight of two adults, at the very least!) and it's got plenty of functionality to keep your son amused. This whole project was obviously a labour of love, and a big inspiration to anyone who wants to do something nice for their kids. Kudos! However, since I live in Scotland, I'm naturally pre-programmed to look at any open structure like this and think: "The weather is going to destroy that." We have rain for a few minutes to a couple of hours most days, we have high winds, and our winters can be pretty harsh. I'm assuming that your local climate is far more suitable for such structures, but if I were to build something like this in my garden, it would probably need to be fully enclosed, or be covered in a tarp for nine months of the year. Harrison is a lucky lad, and you guys are great and creative parents!

We have been keeping our eyes peeled for something perfect to come along for us to convert or inspire us to create. I was thinking since he's outgrown the cozy coupes to just theme out a swing set to resemble the ecto-1 we could call it the "Ecto-Swing"

This is so cool. My son is 4 and loves Ghostbusters. He only gets upset in 1 scene, where Oscar almost gets eaten by the mood slime. I hope this video can spark my creativity to do something similar for my son. You should connect both the switch and the fire alarm trigger together! And a weird idea, maybe connect the phone to the home somehow for mom or dad to connect to the play house and vise versa.. That way you could call and say, "Harrison, lunch is ready!"

Another great update. The inside looks amazing, details are spot on, lots of fun areas to enjoy. I can't wait to see what happens to the outside. This makes me think I should build a Goonies playhouse! LOL

Another amazing build video. I also got a notification that Adam Savage ( over on his "Tested" KZfaq channel) is making 'Ecto goggles' ! You guys might want to check that out. And I think you SHOULD invite Adam to come check out your playhouse ! (Which would probably triple your viewers!)

Oh my ... you guys are doing great! I have been working on my own project on youtube and real life. Not had a lot of time to watch and I truly adore your videos. Those are some great touches. Love the leaky slime. Great choice. I can only imagine Harrisons' imagination running wild. I noticed that he didn't point out your mistakes... You must have spent a lot of time editing those out! You guys are so talented.

Thank you so much, I'm glad I got out of the hospital in time, it's Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada and I'm having Turkey on Monday. Your videos always make me feel better when I'm sick or just need to pass the time or just to watch anytime of the day or week when I have nothing else to do. The progress on this project jas come together exceptionally well. You could do designer backyard playsets for the stars/wealthy. You could surely charge a large price for such amazing details and craftsmanship.

Hey Jeana and Chris. The playhouse is coming along very nicely. Sorry for the lack of communication but I be dealing with some personal issues with my social security payments and because of that I haven't had much money to get supplies for Harrison's proton pack. I'm still planning to build one for him if you two still want me to. Just let me know.

That's freaking awesome, you did a great job on that. I have some arcade 1ups and got me thinking, would be cool to mod one to be the real ghostbusters arcade and just leave riser off so its kids height and put in there. I remember in the first movie an arcade was in the background in there rec room.

Quick tip from one GB to another! Back during the run of the cartoon they actually sold a GB Phone. You may be able to find it on Ebay. It's made to look like the No Ghost Logo. Not accurate to Janine's desk sadly but still super cool!

Thanks Malcolm that is cool I will go look into that. One of our subscribers is going to send us her old red phone with the push buttons. We thought that was really sweet of her to offer and it looks closer to the one we were originally after. Thanks again I gotta go see the one you're referring to.
