We stayed there 5 years ago and without a doubt, it is luxury personified. The staff were exceptional and we were fortunate enough to have a room with a balcony on the street side. It was a gift from our son and one of the most breathtaking hotels we have ever stayed in. Venice is my wife's favorite place to go. What a beautiful and perfect location to spend your 40th Anniversary.

This is what I would expect from a fine Old World hotel. Evocative of The Grand Tour days. (Makes Aman Venice look like a shabby dump.)

We stayed at the Pesaro Palace at Ca' D' Oro. It was small, quaint, clean, quiet, and had great service. And, there was a vaporetto station almost right outside our door.

Wow I can see why you stayed here for a special anniversary. Obviously so A List . The Deluxe rooms are lovely. I must say the Palazzo Room and the Aman Venice was better in my eyes and I just loved that hotel and its sumptuous areas a little more! Am I wrong in this thinking. I would love your comments on my comments. Regards Richard

Magnifique! You do get around. I watched all you Mali vlogs and several others. I like your style. I see you went to Venice at the end of the season unless it took a while to post this. I would hate to have to travel to all these beautiful places. Yea, just kidding. Happy 40th anniversary. 2 years late.

I spent some time there in a beautiful suite...the King of Swedens overlooking the grand canal. I was proposed to there and it was magical and monumental and memorable.

I stayed here a couple of months ago, really the price is for the experience and name rather than what you get, there is definitely better value in Venice, although the staff are exceptional! I would recommend Ca' Sagredo Hotel! It is gorgeous!

Used to be the best hotel in Venice but now with Starwood operating there`s more pretension (including the guests). Still a beautiful place but there are better options.

Very nice and beautifully restored and all that but interiors way too dark and gloomy no natural light and looks small and crowded.Nothing particularly special except for the exquisite chandeliers. Check out the Villa Mabappa in Venice another restored property set way back from the water yet alovely view of the River and alovely outdoor area for lounging a fairly small hotel but charmingly decorated with beautiful old paintings. The library has alovely open veranda to lounge in.The library actually has a sepia print or is it the original painting of Dante and Beatrice with a view of the Ponte Vecchio in Florence!, There are more rooms you have to take a short walk thru a beautiful garden at the back of the main building and the view is charming. Couldn’t ask for more.quiet discreet and charming .Wont burn a hole in your pocket either a fraction of the price of the Gritti and even less for a group booking.

I know this is a luxury hotel but what expensive are the breakfasts !!! 33€ a breakfast !! I think this is a swindle even if the breakfast was incredible.

When I stayed in paris last year, the hotel i stayed in charged 90 euro for 4 pastries, 2 coffees and a glass of orange juice. A can of coke was 16 euro. An club sandwich was 56 euro. Lucky I didn't have to pay. It was insanity.

Thomas GUILLO. well..this is a luxury channel and this kind of turists are not looking tor a cheap hostel and street foods. Enjoy! and the best you can do in every single destination is go to tbe markets and streets for different food..it is worthy!

ril Yes but an egg is less of 1€ and this is very short to cook and at the end it taste the same if you do it by yourself for less than 1 or 2€

Aah I was desperately waiting for the video since Saturday ;) Nice hotel but overpriced in peak season... The situation is perfect for Venise.. I've been to the (former) St Regis San Clemente, but since your video, I want to try The Aman !! ;)

The Aman Venice is a stunning property indeed, and it feels even more palatial and exclusive than the Gritii Palace (if that is possible after all). I did not like San Clemente (I also visited it when it was still a St Regis Resort). How did you feel about this property ?

It was my first stay in a St Regis so I was impressed by the arrival on the boat and the size of the island. Also I've been upgraded to a junior suite (nothing to complain about) But I have to admit that the size of the corridors was disturbing, and it was cold in the hotel (in April). Not the best hotel I've been in, but still impressive.

Even with the renovations, the Gritti has seen finer days. This place is dark and dowdy. Considering the insane price tag, most rooms are too small and not particularly special, as seen in this video. Not impressive. The Gritti relies on faded glory, and I think the prices are insane for the value received.

Very nice video! 👍 The hotel however... I personally find it overpriced (like most everything in Venice), the spaces feel cramped and cluttered, and the decor is all over the place! A lot of the grand hotels of Venice have an outdated perception of what 'luxury' means.

Gritti is good for its suite terrace on the top of the hotel. Outstanding view. But its lobby is a little mediocre.

No, I am not, I am just very good at collecting hotel points and airline miles to spend them on free flights and hotel stays. Flying First Class is an awesome and priviliged experience.

Although is a romantic destination, Venice is not on my list of preferences. I heard from other travelers that the city looks very sad, old dated, and it stinks all over those old channels. It seems that all the garbage has been thrown in the water in the last 1000 years.
