I have an all-stainless Dixie Belle I am not sure how old it is, but it is a great cooker, nice thing I still can get parts for it, and the price is reasonable for quality parts.

Wow for many years I told people that my Hasty Bake was hand made in Tulsa, Oklahoma. I can't say that anymore! Not sure why the prices are so high now that they are automated.

So if a process can be automated to be more precise its worth less?

you might want to look at what the machines (engineered and made my man by the way)cost to produce the tolerances that a hasty bake is made with. I have used several cookers and I know from experience these grills are tighter and cook faster because of the attention to detail and precision with which they are built . Taylor guitars founder Bob Taylor was once told that nobody would buy an acoustic guitar because he cut it out with a cnc machine and Bob's reply was , "so if I can cut the wood perfectly , you don't want me too?

@@jasonhargrove9410 I'm guitar player and know Taylor guitars very well. Lots of difference between a guitar with tight tolerances and Hasty Bake that leaks smoke from the lid!
