I may have mentioned that I raised my children on a farm in North East Kansas. On the property there was what was called a line shaft building. ( Cody would know what that is). From it ran a single rail track out into the timber where a mill was set up. The house we bought, built in 1902, was built from lumber made on the property. Anyway, in the line shaft building is an old forge I got to make work again. This building reminds me so much of that. Oh, and glad to see the mouse forging on..

I want to give a 100 thumbs up lol The Black Smith's made me cry (in a good way) ..My father was a black smith.. he learnt the trade in Germany.. Every tool you showed bought back so many memories, dad had all that stuff & when he passed & I had clean out the shed I took what I could but I what I couldn't take I made sure it went to people that would use it & appreciate it.. Thank you

Thank you .. & sorry for your loss ...My father passed only in 2014.. I still think he is going to walk in the door.. I know time will heal & we do need to live our life .. but he will always be in my heart :)

+C. Perry I bet, there is just so much too look at and you have to stop it to get a sense of the layout. I saw so much editing that I didn't see in person. That's what devotion to ones craft looks like. It's beautiful.

Thanks for making this video, I have stopped it many times to really get a look around. The blacksmith shop was great, makes me want to move right in! I also liked the agri equipment, but if Cody had all those saws I bet they would be rust free and sharp! Thanks again and take care.

Your brother and I share this passion, though he certainly has more commitment to it. I live for the rare garage-sale finds of old tools and machines. Apart from all the forging tools, I loved the old machines of various types in that shop--would love to seem them restored and fully functional!

Yes it is wonderful they have this collection. They really need to care for it a bit tho. It's so sad seeing so much of it so deeply rusted and rotting away. Oil is cheap.

I'm not a blacksmith. :) I do tho know how to oil tools to prevent deep rust. Ct is quite a way from Florida. I'd hope there is someone a lot closer who knows how to at least oil the tools to keep them from getting worse than they already are.

Wrong coast for me. I'd love to but the wife and I want to retire near Mt Fuji. Some guy named Cody has convinced us it is so much better than Atlanta. We think he is right on the money. So sick of this town.
