📜 Video Description 📜
This hand review session blew my mind. I've always found our new instructor Kruzer very tough to play against but to hear the inner workings of his mind was a thought provoking treat. In this video we review a bunch of fascinating 200 ZOOM PokerStars spots and hint at the Reg Battles series that Kruzer will be producing for Carrot Corner in the near future.

Pete I'd like to show you another point of view. On the hand T9s that Kruzer says he called the 3b at low frequency with hands like QJs, JTs, T9s to have some board coverage, bla bla bla. And you kind of disagreed the way he explained the reason to call it. But I believe that's the real reason why solvers call like 5 to 20% of the time home hands like that instead of fold it 100%. It's to make sure to get the closest possible of MDF and cover all kinds of flop possible and never get a flop that misses our range completely. So, in GTO land, if we always fold these medium suited contractors, if the flop is medium or low we would never have a lot of 2 pairs and str8s and pair+OEDS etc... so solvers must have these low frequency calls in break even situations to prevent being exploited. It is a bit annoying when you kind "force" people to think exactly like you. Especially when the guy didn't say anything wrong.

On the last hand iam a bit confused on the turn cause not sure if villains are range betting for B75 and if so wont we just start jamming alot? Not sure if with this hand cause Tx seams bad to have.

So you have to be really really good to make half the money the pokerroom makes in rake... 200z rake is 5-6 bb/100 I think. That's even more depressing.

Why wouldn't you recomand to start your poker journey at the bottom (2NL)? I just started playing again, I used to play 100NL 6-max on stars and Full-Tilt. (I made a decent living in 2009-2012) stopped playing seriously in 2014. Now I have a nice job, wife, kids,... So I don't want to invest a lot of money in poker. My plan is to grind my way up, and when my bankroll can afford coaching I'll get some. BTW; I like the real-EV approach. I still have to do my first solver session :-)

2NL is still more of bingo than poker. Nobody gives a F for 2 bucks. I would recommend to start from 5NL, still pretty crazy, but a bit more playable.

Is funny - as someone who has almost never played against a crusher -call call call with t9 would (I guess) be a spew (views welcome) - likewise, see so few cold 4s that AJs can profitable call against oop - and so few CR bluffs with AsJ on Qt3 ss - it seems like a different game... which speaks to.... drum roll... mass data analysis!

I find it very hard in the US to have any good Zoom games. Ignition and ACR are usually only $25 NL or $200NL. Quite a jump. And on ignition it's all anonymous so it seems hard to exploit anyone. Any US players have a different expericence?
@jeffshackleford3152
@jeffshackleford3152 2 ай бұрын
I play 25z ignition. You aren't exploiting a player, you are exploiting the pool. So if pool over bluffs this turn for this size, then you always call. You have to find the spots where pool is imbalanced and play pure strategies that beatthat imbalance. Then the pool adjusts and it is on to the new exploit.
