i remember when i went to my 2nd regional of my life and i remember waiting for the pairs of players to be announced so we can begin the rounds. As i was waiting a guy came up to me and started a conversation asking things like what deck am i playing etc. I told him i was playing heroes and then asked back what he was playing and guess what, he was playing mystic mine. I tried to end the conversation and move away from him as fast as possible. Moral of the story? Mystic mine players are worse than every mans nightmares.

@Omega Zero beating mine is spell removal yeah, but its not like you put up a live mine with no floodgate/protection to it lol. Beating mine +floodgates is like having a crush on someone whose friend group doesn't like you, because you need to defeat the entire deck first before you remove mine. And that's what makes the deck so dumb. Atleast combo decks have a linear board they want (you can even predict the cards at their end pretty accurately). Other control strategies have interactivity atleast. Mine's just plain unfair. Tl;dr mine is dumb and unfair monkey. No other floodgates should be made like this, and used for your bullshit strategy.

in my case i got tired of getting my hand discarted, my plays negated and having to play second to a fully stacked negate board with out having the bless of rngesus for an opening hand trap. i just said "how abaut i give a spoon of their own medice to the guys that dont let me play yugioh... after that i got kinda borred and played kaijus with a lava golem (and a side ra sphere mode) to watch the dispair on their faces when their 30 card combo monster ends up beeing tributed cause its eather that or run another samey deck stacked with hand traps and negates

The difference is Mystic Mine is only played by brainless and people trying to be annoying. In combo decks (ones that are somewhat balanced IE Invoked Shaddoll) its unstoppable and there are lots of handtraps and outs. Mystic Mine is played by that guy at locals who's brain cant understand anything but ooga booga decks
