Of course they tried, but they didn't do what they should have, which is get the foul on him somehow. Jump into him, make it difficult on the refs. Force him to guard Tatum in switches. This is the difference between them winning and not is getting Steph off the floor. To be a title team Celtics need to be able to execute on these changes@@alanarriaga6204

Kareem better than LeGM…. Magic probably better than LeGM even Kobe probably better until he has 5 rings, not including his ridiculous IST participation trophy, those two dudes are definitely above LeGM AND they all did it with their respective dynasty, whereas LeGM was basically trying to cheat and personally devise teams behind the scenes to increase his odds meanwhile, Curry literally changed the whole game, no 🧢 whether people love or hate the 3pt revolution, the man single-handedly changed the way everyone looks at the game; and even showed the beginnings of that in March Madness nearly going to the final four - which ended up being ALL FOUR #1 teams that year

Agreed. If the name of the game is BASKETball, and you are witnessing a man who can put it in the basket at a higher rate from a higher distance than anyone ever has, THAT merits his entrance into the top 10 club. The 21'-22' Finals also solidified Steph's place among the greatest ever. People just trying to gloss over the fact that Steph OWNS LeBron James in the finals. The times LeBron beat the Warriors with the Lakers didn't equate to him actually winning a title but I just love watching them battle so much. I'm hoping my Warriors can get it together to beat them because they haven't beat them in the playoffs since LeBron came to the Lakers. So, in my humble opinion if Steph beats LeBron in the playoffs and wins ring #5 in the process how can he be denied anymore?

You're not reaching when you put Steph in the conversation for the best player of all time. He's been arguably the best in the game since 2015 and his skillset has caused the league to adapt to him, just like they did to Shaq. Statistically he is outstanding and you cannot make the argument of the fact that he's been part of great team because he is the primary reason for those great teams.

Ok? Yes, the league was forced to adapt. Steph is arguably the greatest offensive player of all-time. But the adapting doesn't matter because you're ignoring Kenny's point. Steph's defense is not even in the same universe as Jordan, LeBron or Kareem. Passing for LeBron too; Jordan and Kareem could score whenever they wanted, so they didn't need it to be on that level, but Steph isn't a world-beater there either. That's why neither he nor Shaq are there. But they're close.
@sskmanentsa53265 ай бұрын
@@Absolute-Melody I'm saying you cannot use that against him since he is the reason for those great teams. In one of the toughest conferences in NBA history, the Warriors got out 5 times and if it were not for things that he had no control over, it'd probably had been 5 straight championships. Even so, the second they got healthy again they won convincingly.

Honestly curry definitely deserves to be in that conversation he’s changed the game made an impact left a legacy earned everything he was told he wasn’t going to get and proved everyone wrong on ALOT OF THINGS I think it’s time to give him his flowers if not the best I think he’s definitely top 5 I would argue top 3. Now with that being said I’m putting them in any type of order but if he’s talking about the “pool” it’s Jordan Kobe lebron Steph Kareem… those people I mention left a legacy have legitimately left and impact now I’m not saying other greats weren’t but the level that all of these players have played or are currently playing ….. I think it’s worth mentioning the evolution that has been borough from lebron and Steph it will never be repeated you might sit there and say “oh but Steph is just shooting so it’s whatever” you do realize there is kids and current NBA players trying to drop 40footers as if it was light work and not to mention how EVERY Team scores mostly from the outside than inside the paint….. idk even if Steph doesn’t win another chip I can sit here and confidently say the dude left something for the new generation and what he did considering all the obstacles and hardship Steph has proven he doesn’t need KD his ankles were bad but he learned to play and a fundamental and amazing level carried a crap team for being the worst team in the league for 3 years getting snubbed and kept getting told “he’s not that guy” when he indeed proved it with his 4th give the dude his credit and leave him alone honestly

I disagree with Kenny from the standpoint that even though Steph may not affect the game in many other ways statistically the way that other GOAT candidates do if he has an off shooting night-- he still affects the game as much from an intangible standpoint as the other guys because of how much you have worry about him the way he stretches your defense thin. I think that the only other players that stuck fear in their opponents the way that he does is Jordan and Shaq. Lebron and Kobe -- they can go through stretches in a game where they get passive and you aren't worried about where they are on the court. Kobe's shot selection was often poor so you could count on him taking himself out of a game at times. With Kareem, I think that you have some hope that you can prevent the offense from getting it in to him early easily because he is more stationary. But Jordan because of his speed and quickness and relentlessness and Shaq because of the foul trouble he causes and how much he changes the pace of the game, they put fear in you cause you have to complete change your game plan for them. And Steph is the same way. He creates panic attacks when your guarding him because you can't ever not know where he is, and you can't ever give him more than 6 inches of space. He's terrifying to play against in a way that I don't think any other players besides Jordan and Shaq were -- but at least with Shaq, you can get him tired and you can count on him missing a bunch of free-throws. The version of Steph we've seen over the past 5 years, where he's picked up size and strength, and you can't bully him off of the ball, is one of the 4 greatest players ever.
@l310075 ай бұрын
And when Curry scores most of the time, it is 1.5 times more points per shot. 2's vs 3's.

Ultimately, who is the greatest ever doesn't truly matter. Everyone is going to have their opinion of it. Everyone is going to have a great case for why this guy belongs in the conversation. To me, every single one of the top 15 guys of all time have a legitimate case to say they are the goat. Regardless of which order they are put in. Because of their historical significance to the NBA. Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, LeBron James, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, Steph Curry, Tim Duncan, Wilt Chamberlain, Bill Russell, Shaquille O'Neil, Hakeem Olajawon, Kevin Durant, Oscar Robertson and Jerry West who all can make a claim for the title. Sure, some of it would be a statistical stretch. Not denying that. Given their historical impact on the game, their influence to the game and legendary moments they have had in their careers...one has to stand in awe of what each and every one of them did on the basketball court. In some cases, even how they affected the game off of the court. To me, the question of greatness is not a 1 right answer and Everyone else is wrong for having any different opinion. They are legends for a reason. To me, it doesn't matter who is number 1 or number 15. Put whatever order you like. Me, I will just appreciate greatness from all of them. They deserve that level of respect.
