He signed that contract because at the time the rockets could compete but after it not working out and the rockets not building something new without cp3 he wanted out. Harden acted that way because the rockets initially backed out of a trade with the nets in 2020 so that’s when he took matters into his own hand and started coming late to camp etc, it may not be mature but he had to do what he had to do to get out or Houston would’ve just continued to be difficult in trade talks
