In association with BBC Panorama, we investigate the world of tax havens and show how some of the world’s most famous companies are using a tax haven at the heart of Europe to save millions in tax. Secret documents reveal how companies like GlaxoSmithKline have been getting big tax breaks on billion-pound transactions in the tiny country of Luxembourg. By opening offices there, diverting profits overseas and then having their Luxembourg office lend offices in other countries money, they can avoid multi-million euro tax bills in their country of origin. In these austere times, is big business paying its fair share?

Most people know about Luxembourg,Bahamas and British Virgin Island as offshore tax haven but in my own country there's also 1 place that is considered as tax haven and that place is Labuan,Sabah😂 They only charged 3% tax rate or flat rate of RM20000 or 4300 USD per year. My government objected for Labuan to be called as tax haven but with the tax scheme or tax regime is like that, the only things that can be said is Malaysia did have offshore tax haven. Damn

A slap on the wrist or being shamed is NOT a strong penalty for banking and tax fraud. The bankers deserve the maximum penalty just like citizens get for fraudulent schemes. 🤮😡😡

If you live in a house, you pay the rent. That money goes to ensuring safety, comfort, and good living conditions. Its the same as a country. Your taxes go to financing schools, hospitals, roads, public transport, among many other things. Some of it is spent on security. We live in a community and as social animals we rely on our communities. Taxes support the growth of ourselves and our countries. The issue isn't taxes, it's governmental corruption. If you have a problem with the way your taxes are spent, that's not an issue with the system of taxation, but the people deciding how they're spent.

This tax avoidance or tax optimization as they called it is not limited to multinational companies of a few countries. Basically all of MNC companies is doing the exact same thing to avoid tax at their home country. Even everyone favourite company,Apple is doing this.😂 The problem is European Law itself allow this fraud scheme as mentioned in this video so it wont stop as long as EU dont change their own law😂

I've not watched all of this video but I think that if every government just put a fair tax nobody would hide their money even government's wouldn't tied them money neither I'll be happy to pay their a fair tax.
