@@isagothmoth Yeah, they weren’t doing too much relaxing horseback riding after this. The Greeks slaughtered or enslaved every single Trojan. There’s a scene in the Iliad where Odysseus grabs Hector’s baby by the foot and throws him off the balcony so there wouldn’t be a surviving heir to the throne. There were a few Trojan children that weren’t murdered but enslaved instead, but for the most part all the Trojans were killed. The Homeric epics are absolutely gruesome. I was a Classics major and until we read Homer in my Greek classes I had no idea how crazy violent it all was since I hadn’t read them in English. Comparatively, the Aeneid is a little less intense though still fairly violent.

My grandpa told me a story he experienced in war If kids where captured they would throw them up to the air and stab them as they fall or have a more brutal method and the men or soldiers who get captured will be tied up around a circle and the middle is where a bomb was and since they where tied up they couldn't escape and women where raped and then after killed in abandoned areas where there bodies could not be seen and so there relative that survived could not bury there bodies
