💯% Scotty, like the Maitland style A wing double door cells. I've lived in that condemned cell top landing 4 wing last cell on right side landing, with the hangman's gallow straight outside the cell, put it this way brother, I was out of that cell after only 3 nights, cell change🥵, out of there, that cell was just too much😳. But also in 3 wing there in the old CIP, bottom landing sweepers cells, the first 2-3 cells on the left are haunted with a constant & persistent marching pacing ghost in boots crunching the gravel & dirt path along the left hand side of 3 wing beneath our cell windows (barred slit in the wall), every other night he'd be at it. The funny thing was this ghost would dead set stop soon as you screamed out to him to pull up coz he's starting to freak you out, he would then instantly stop. This is 💯dead set, I know what I experienced was real as the boys in the next two cells to me would come out in the morning & ask did you hear someone pacing last night just outside our cells ?. That was off it's head, we were sweepers there for over a year & it went on the whole time.

Long Bay 13 wing is haunted.

@@rosshitchen-ij6en what landing, & was it years ago as the old MRC (remand centre) or more recently since it become the medical transit centre ?. The older CIP & MRP haunted 💯percent, 3 & 4 wings, & 7 & 10 wings. I've heard of other boys being haunted in 11 wing also, the old special care unit & then VOTP unit in the MRP. MRC 13 wing top & middle landings were relatively ghost free 👻, most of the time😂, never experienced or heard of hauntings there but they can happen anywhere i'spose?. Some hectic things, murders included & suicides have happened over the decades at the old MRC 13 wing, & some hectic, colourful & infamous Sydney crims done plenty time there on remand & committed plenty more hectic crimes usually in the showers on the landings & in the cells, there were no camera's in the wings, on the landings or in the shower rooms on each landing. And the screws never left the wing office on each landing, except for lock in & let go?. As the remand centre (MRC ) up until approx 1997, the crims had the run of the landings, with all cells open from 4pm muster until 8:30pm lock in at night, we were all out on the landings until 8:30 or 9pm at night & some hectic shit went down on them landings, in cells & in the showers!!. Late lock-in at night, was grouse for a maxo remand centre, it was good with full size oval, activities, gym, law library, good barro food straight from its own kitchen. Just shit visits there, it was a tiny little corner visiting section straight under the front jail tower with the armed screw pacing & glaring down at your visitors!!. You could smell & taste the morning sea breeze & sea salt in the air, everyone use to try to stay at the Bay, even though some of the most hectic & brutal violence, murders, suicides, bashing, stabbings, rapes, etc have occurred there, including in 13 wing !!. And some of the country's most violent, dangerous & infamous criminals have lived in them cells & walked them landings, up & down them steel stairs, but that's a different story for another day, sorry bra for going off track a bit here😂.All good👍

Dave If you read the article properly my wife typed the comment ,i'm the one who worked In the remand centre at Long Bay.Robert Joseph DYSON and I was hated by the crim's because I did my job correctly. And doing constant ramps in both 12 and 13 wings overseeing the junior officers at the rank of Asst Supt the rank I held when I left the remand centre so don't denigrate my wife and show respect for women.

Ok AS one pip. I remember then came Schubert who ran it for years?. Tarrantroe come as a dep later?. Then B Russell & the whole IIU fiasco at the MTC. Handlebars (J. David) went on to SAS also B Tanzer, albeit from Skidrow😂🤣?. Spent best part of 30 years in & out of there, done most of the gardens on the complex on ground maintenance & know the Avenue like the back of my hand😂!!. Worked at the LB cafe, cleaned Karingal & skid row, Mayfair, (men's), & the women's quarters on either side of the front gate into the MTC on ground maintenance!!. Mowed them lawns on that entire complex for decades, & yes we used to have visitors on the complex grounds every day & we done every rort you can think of. We had everything going on, for f.... sake there were open public toilets on the jail grounds & we got everyone & everything in them toilets😂😝?. There were some terrible dark nights & dangerous days in Long Bay, but also there were some really good times with some really good men & people, that was our history & we were making it as best as we could, every jail still had a jail (alcohol) brew made every Xmas time fermented & ready to be drunk Xmas day😂, back then?. Most screws didn't bother writing up inmates & charging them, men were still men then & screw & inmate fights occurred a lot more than most know or wish to say?. Things were settled like gentlemen, talking straight or punching straight, that's it!!. Most screws & crims were willing but every jail had at least one little putrid Mr mighty mouse 🐁😂?. Who ran around with his pen & charge paper like a little Hitler looking for any little pathetic pinch just to aggregate & agitate crims?. These screws are usually little weak men who are delusionely empowered by the uniform, key, authority & the false sense of security from fellow officers😂?. But how wrong have they been in so many cases?. Perfect examples of that I personally seen at Long Bay coincidentally🤭?. One of these screws head came off very, very, very second best to a fire extinguisher , & another in his obsessive haste of ramping & turning crims cells upside down, pricked his little finger on something & the rest was history not too long after for him!!. There's been many more, serious bashings of this type of screw, & it can't end any other way for them?. Some might get through the break here & there, but the odds are you will get got somewhere sometime, & that getting could be your life?. Especially today the crims are much more prone to more quicker & sudden explosive violence , & more murderous, as in today they want to quickly bash, stab, kill their target , where in the past the crim more likely just wants to bash your head in & not kill you😂?. But today it's a different inmate, most are drug ice fuelled paranoid scattered mess's, mental health patients off their meds, bupe addicts & young gang members trying to make a name for themselves, they don't need too much from you these days to explode & unleash upon you, different world, different crim, different screw & different jail today!!.
