Our women's squad have been hard at work at adidas HQ with pre-season preparations and you can join us in Germany with the latest edition of Inside Training.
The team worked on close control with a football-tennis warm-up and continued to build team chemistry on the pitch with our summer signings. What's more, Vivianne Miedema returned to team training and looked as deadly in front of goal as ever.

Injuries ruined our season beyond belief last yeah. Williamson, Mead, Miedema, Little all had bad injuries.

This will be a great WSL season after watching the World Cup. So many World Cup powerhouse players play for Arsenal, or the sides Arsenal is against in the first 3 or 4 games :) 🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺

We are way behind Chelsea and City in defence in terms of dynamism and quality .... We fell short last couple of seasons largely due to defensive fragility ...I am afraid we would come short again this season coz the current defenders cant keep up with the fast and strong forwards.

The World Cup should have started 3 weeks earlier. 7 of the 17 from the Paris game played in the last weekend of the tournament. They had 10 days to fly from Australia, get back on UK time, recover from the flight, meet and practice with new team mates, fly to Sweden and play on a broken plastic pitch that spinning balls stopped dead on. If anything I'm surprised they won the first game and only had one bad looking injury. Man City were screwed last year after the Euros, Arsenal this year after the WC. The Paris Olympics don't end until 31/08/2024, not sure when the women's football final is but if UEFA keep the qualifiers like this, their tournament is going to be missing many of the continent's best players again.
