‘Facts of Life’ Star Kim Fields Remembers Beloved Charlotte Rae

Tributes are pouring in for "The Facts of Life" star Charlotte Rae, who died on Sunday at the age of 92. Rae, who played Mrs. Garrett on the hit show, passed away at her home in Los Angeles. "Thank you, Charlotte, for 40 years of friendship and love," said actress Lisa Whelchel, who played Blair on "The Facts of Life." Todd Bridges, who starred in "Diff'rent Strokes" with Rae, wrote, "’Different Strokes’ would not have been the same without you #CharlotteRae.” #InsideEdition

She was a great actress. And dying at the age of 92 is not a sad thing at all... it shows that she lived a full, rich life. And that's something to be happy about!

I watched the Facts of Life religiously every day and Charlotte (Mrs. Garrett) I wished you were at my school. You brought the character to life on Different Strokes (Watched it from the beginning as well) thank you for blessing my life and so many others

zion b this was the best show! Growing up I felt I could relate to any one of those girls. I did not realize she was that old. I'm glad she had a long healthy life. just a few weeks ago I was talking to a friend about the show and we thought they should re boot it.

The character of Mrs. Garrett had such a warmth and sincerity in her voice that very few have had before or since. When she spoke with the other characters, she really gave me the impression that she was deeply concerned about whatever issues were troubling her girls. Rip Charlotte Rae.

Bless Her Heart!!❤️ I grew up with that show in the 80's. She was actually on Facts of Life for only 7 seasons. The final 2, Cloris Leachman took over as her cousin Beverly Ann. She survived Pancreatic Cancer?? That's generally fatal I have always heard. God watched over her. Bless her Heart ❤️
