Unless there’s a really good reason not to, you show up to a kid’s birthday party. The illusion of a child celebrating his/her birthday, not to mention all the efforts the parents go through should never go to waste. I remember my kid once or twice saying he didn’t want to go to another kid’s party, and after questioning enough to know there was no good reason other than he’d rather stay playing video games , I made him move his a** and go to the party. My ex used to keep me chained up like that on his bed. I had to use the restroom on myself while he was out doing drugs for days sometimes. When met when I ran away from home at 14 and he was 24 promising me the world. He was wonderful at first but I soon understood that I wasn’t free to leave. I eventually fled the state to get away from him for good at 19 and to this day (20 years later) he makes fake FB accounts just to tell me how much he “still loves me” and that I was “the best thing that ever happened to him.” I didn’t realize I was still so messed up from my experience until I saw that news clip and started bursting into tears seeing how she was apologizing to the cops. I’m still an overly apologetic female and I hate it. I started writing a book about my experiences but realized it’s just not something I want scrutinized by other people since I went back to him several times when he would find me. People don’t realize the chain isn’t the only thing that’s keeping you there. Just the threat of the burns, the beatings, the cage, etc. is enough to make you comply. But once you’re chained up, you’re helpless to escape even when you know you’re alone. The mental turmoil is unbearable.

I appreciate the replies, but many parents demand the visitor kids family must pay. Its not bad to ask the invites to pay, its just that a lot of people can't afford the cost of paying plus present plus getting their kid ready in nice clothes etc. I don't know if the issue was money only related, but this is a common reason why kids don't turn up to modern day parties.

Please ALWAYS keep animals SECURE in your car. The dog is mostly okay but I know from my previous business that pelvic bones that do not heal with 100% PERFECT alignment will almost always be a source of chronic pain FOR LIFE.🥺
