Жыл бұрынPolice say a car with two kids alone inside caught fire in a mall parking lot while their mother was in the mall. Allegedly, she was shoplifting. It happened at a mall in Oviedo, Florida. Police say two children, whose ages were not disclosed, were left alone in the vehicle by their mother, Alicia Moore, 24. According to the police report, Moore went into the Dillard’s with a male and was observed shoplifting by the store’s Loss Prevention unit. Inside Edition Digital’s Mara Montalbano has more.

Well is it heated? It's raining so the child neglect charges will at best be a misdemeanor which would be correct for the situation. A hot car in a sunny day is a more serious charge.

Id guess the car was probably running if she was commiting a crime. Couldve even been what started the fire, if not the engine maybe trans fluid or even leaky oil. Idk well see what they find and/ or convict

She has every right to have her kids back she didn't know the car would have got on fire and me personally it's nothing wrong with leaving ur kids in the car as long as they aren't too young which they age wasn't said in the video my mom use to leave me in the car and I was okay with it and sometimes I even ask to stay in the car it's not serious at all. Especially when u don't even know if she abuse her kids, they might love her a lot and is sad seeing their mother going to jail what if she was stealing bc her kids were hungry or something or what If she knew her kids would be running around in the store so she left them in the car for a few minutes. So why does she deserve to have her kids taken from her bc of a fire that she didn't know would happen? Also u heard in the video she dropped everything once she heard there was a fire to save her kids

One of the world's biggest economies with many government programs and opportunities, and yet even poor people in poor countries rarely steal, but Americans have a reason to steal? Thank goodness those precious children were saved! I pray for healing for the poor baby with first degree burns and for both children to heal from the trauma. I hope these kids get a better home and hopefully that’s with a responsible family member because this woman who doesn’t deserve to be called a mother definitely doesn’t deserve these kids! She plead not guilty because she can’t take any accountability not even when she almost killed her babies! Thank you to the heroes who saved the children!

Fire in cars usually originate in the engine bay or closer to the front of the car, as this one started at the rear it could be the children started it from playing around with a lighter or something.

Imagine her children will always remember this fire then next thing to associate it with is that she was shoplifting at the time. Arson is the willful or malicious burning or attempting to burn something, with or without intent to defraud. I don't see how her car randomly catching on fire while she's in a store stealing fits that definition.

It's because of Florida law. People can be charged with arson if they damage others or their own property while commiting a felony, which in this case, was criminal negligence. This is just Florida law so don't berate me about it

@@kiwiliroll they say it for legal reasons(because it could be slander or something if she wins the lawsuit), if they were willing to press charges they likely have evidence which means she likely _was_ stealing and they just don’t wanna get sued in the unlikely case she wins the lawsuit and then decides to sue inside Edition for slander.
