This is the new 2019 Fiat 500X Sport, a more athletic take on the popular compact SUV. Our test car was powered by a 148bhp 1.3-litre Firefly petrol engine. Taking plenty of styling influence from the Fiat 500 supermini, this new Sport model adds 19-inch alloy wheels, sportier bodywork and reworked suspension.
The interior now features a 7-inch touchscreen display as standard, as well as an Alcantara steering wheel. Also standard is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Boot space remains at 350-litres.
This new Fiat 500X Sport is priced from £22,500 and can also be had with a 1.0-litre engine. Would you take on over a Mini Countryman, Mazda CX-3, or Seat Arona?

We are very happy with our Fiat 500x too. Bought it when it came on the market back in May 2015. Loved every single ride in it ever since. Also it has proven very reliable. Absolutely no break downs at all. Not even an electric light bulb. I never experienced so much reliability for such a long period with any of my former 19 cars of very different car brands.

I am very happy with my 500x too. I had it for a year now and still enjoy every second of driving it. 1.6 diesel. Love that diesel boost every time I change gear!

Jeep Renegade and 500X are now in our family! I bought a 2019 sport Renegade 1.0 T3 back in februari. Now having 20k kms and truely in love with this car! It's a peppy little jeep with great comfort , nice styling and great fuelconsumption for it's class. Today my stepdaughter ordered a 500X with the 1.0 firefly engine aswell, that's how happy we are with this small engine! FCA is doing it's magic nowadays and thoughout all models and brands in the group, they hit the nail right on the head. Also to be said, the community around these cars is truely an awesome experience!

Thanks for the review. Any idea when these will be in UK showrooms? I hand my Fiat Tipo back in April so starting to shop around. The Tipo has been a great car for the money I have to say.

Fiat has been selling the 500x in America for a couple years ...I own a 2019 500x in orange and it is fun!

Had my 500x cross plus for three years, great car , most other brands are pretty boring in comparison :)

Imagine a 5-cylinder 1.7 Abarth version as a kind homage to the Stilo Abarth and Fiat Coupé. I reckon a 220HP would be thoroughly mean sounding and would leave plenty room for the tuning crowd.

What sporty has it got except that plate saying SPORT?

Well after owning one for two years I can say the 1.3 DCT is a decent sporty car. The fuel is helped if you use premium 99 Ron (as with all turbos). They gives it a bit more power. I have got 0-60 in 8.1 seconds. It’s not gonna kill an Alfa Romeo Gullia but it’s decent.
