Simon has the sickest strat tone. I can't begin to understand how he gets such massive sounds from a single coil pickup. Mon the Biff!

in fairness he only plays one one scale lol... no joke... he pops the low E down to a D so the guitar is in Drop D, and he uses the exact same power chord shape and scale for every single song... I'm not even kidding. ALL of his songs can be played on the same power chord scale. it's just your standard D power chord with 3rds 5ths and 7ths added. Try it.. i sh*t you not lol

@@tonyquigley6543 Well put however that doesn't take away how unique he sounds, not everyone is Steve Vai or Buckethead however some of the most iconic guitarists know their limits and use them to the best of their ability to exert one single unique sound, Cobain, Harrison, Brian May

@@tonyquigley6543 you clearly have never learned or listened to the majority of Biffy’s music. You only have to take a handful of songs, like Joy Discovery Invention, Holy Water, Bubbles, Haru Urara, Living is a Problem, to see how wrong you are.

Trivia: Scottish musician Colin Hay of Men at Work came from Saltcoats, only 3-4 miles away from Irvine where Simon is from. The talent is so huge! I salute both guitarists.
