The old spice commercials with Isisah were my favorite. Then the team-up with Terry Crews for the old spice combo commercials, behind the scenes for it looked really good.

I wish I could be there to join in on this conversation in person. I have so much to say about this "don't want to have kids" thing. I feel the same way as both you and Justin and I have had the "selfish" debate with people many times. I knew I didn't want kids at a very young age. I never changed my mind even though everyone told me I surely would. Listening to the two of you talk through your thoughts on this subject is basically an echo of the way I feel and the conversations I have with people all the time. 🥰

While not the first to comment, I (the OG Raj) actually watched/listened so I could provide some constructive thoughts on the episode. Loved hearing the similarities you guys share (awkwardness in high school, being late bloomers, thoughts on being older and still single). Was hoping he would go deeper on what held him back from proposing, but amazing conversation on regrets around love lost and relationships in general. Also loved the call back to the "In Love" episode with your ex (miss that podcast, so definitely need a Sully check-in during the intro of a future episode). Overall, another great episode in the books!!!

Hey Rosey, felt really weird listening to this, I was 5’1” at 16 sitting my gcse qualifications. I went back to school to do A levels and I hit 5’7 by 17. I’m now 6’1” but didn’t stop growing till I was about 20. I was really similar but I had tests done at age 8 due to my smallness and they said it was a strange pituitary gland issue, and that I would grow later and hit puberty later. I’m 44 and I look back and see how much it affected me back then and it’s weird.

I'm realizing there's a good reason Long is one of my favorite actors. There are a handful of rolls he has done where I felt so connected with the character and what he was feeling. I'm not sure if it was something the director wanted or something he brings completely on his own, but judging how unique it is I'm sure it comes largely from him. He brings such raw emotion to a lot of his roles on a level not seen in most males actors. He has played a male victim on a few occasions that people actually care about. Let's face it, that's rare! As a guy, I feel a lot of male roles are played deadpan or the hero or just someone who is going through a lot, but keeping a tough exterior. I've never really been the tough guy, so when I saw Long on the screen for the first time I was able to say that's me! His emotions are not found in the storyline, the music score or some suppressed pained look on his face, but his true talent to show his emotions. It's very real. And seeing him talk as a person, I feel I relate to him so much. I also want to say Michael Rosenbaum, I've really been enjoying your videos. Love your easy laid back personality, wisdom and warmth. If I was an actor I'd jump at the chance to be on your show. There is such a refreshing therapeutic vibe to your shows. Your acquaintances are very lucky to cross paths with you and your true friends are richer still. Thanks for being you guys :D

I don't comment all that much so I'm gonna do it this time. This is the only podcast I listen to at least once a week. It's great listening to the open chat and it rarely feels like an interview. From Tom Welling's first appearance to this episode, it's evolved and grown. I love the 'cut through the bs' attitude you have that makes the conversation feel so much more genuine than other casts where the guests are cool people but the questions are so bland. Smallest kid in high school and made the best Lex Luther ever, and yes I said it. I never thought anyone would equal Gene Hackman and you brought it so well. You and Tom Welling made that show. I will never forget your Lex. And to be catching up on these podcasts just show what I have said to people I know. Nothing wrong to enjoy their work, but actors are just people doing a job. Love your shows so far. Keep it up. And never dis yourself over how you did Lex Luthor because you did it perfect and I bet if you ever asked Gene Hackman, he would agree. May as well compare Jack Nicholson Joker and Heath Ledger. Both very great performances for the time for the theme of the show. Love you brother. Keep it up.

Hey guys, great podcast, I'm enjoying your stuff Mike (just discovered the channel this morning). I just wanted to weigh in on the whole 'people who don't want kids are being selfish' discussion. I think it's important to note that for someone to be selfish, they need to withhold something that would benefit another - another that already exists. An unconceived child doesn't exist, therefore it's impossible to withhold anything from them. I think people who speak in terms of childless adults being selfish have a mindset that says that child-rearing is an automatic part of life, rather than an option. From that mindset, it's much more reasonable to think that choosing not to have children is selfish. Given the ever-increasing global population, it's coming to a point where people should probably only have kids if they really, really want them, rather out of some vague instinct that it's what you're supposed to do. Anyway, that's my two cents given. Feel free to take it with two units of whatever you feel to be most appropriate. #lexforpresident

Great check-in with Isaiah. He did an awesome job on Shadowhunters :) and I agree Luke should have had more to his story! I miss that show (not nearly as much as I miss Smallville of course). Justin is a great actor, "Just Not That Into You" is a good movie. I love your podcasts!
