Taran is one of the most underrated SNL cast members. He was PERFECT - he could do impressions, voice-overs, play it straight or be completely zany, great Weekend Update bits, etc. Such a star. I still miss him on that show to this day.

Totally agree. This guy is made for SNL and MadTV. It’s a shame he just happened to be on the show the same time as Bill hader, who is probably a top 3 cast member in the history of the show.

@@nicoleparreira1024 I think Michaels felt disrespected that Taran took time away from the show to go direct a movie. So he basically told him to just leave and that way he could have all the time he needs to do other projects. Sounds like a parent that felt unappreciative so they kick you out and stop talking to you.

I was Taran Killam's storyboard artist for "Killing Gunther" and I was a fan of his work before, but after that, a complete fan of the person more! He's genuinely one of the most talented guys I've worked with! Anytime he calls to go to work again I'd be like "when and where". He's that great!

OMG I could listen to Taran and Michael for hours love the stories, you Two Rock!! I have Been an SNL fan since the late 70s Love The first Chevy Chase, John Belushi, Michael O'Donoghue, Gilda Radner, Jane Curtin, Laraine Newman, George Coe, and Garrett Morris Love Mad Tv ❤ This just made my week, laugher is the best medicine for the soul. Love the Impressions, Jack black the best Taran and I think it would have been awesome to see Taran play some part on Smallville. I think they got the right person to play Pete love Sam Jone as Pete. Michael you started your Podcast up in 2017 been a listener from the start and got hook it’s going on 5 years now not 3 and there is over 265 awesome episode ,I have listened to. I love each and everyone they been a blessing just listening to them some I can relate to. This is another awesome episode Michael you Rock!!!

This episode is highly entertaining. I loved hearing his Mad Tv story with Tenacious D and Dave. He was great in Hamilton. He definitely is a great impressionist. He has a great singing voice as well. Love this podcast!!

This episode was so delightful. Taran definitely opened up and had so many great stories. I enjoyed his behind the scenes stories from Mad and SNL. Jebidiah is one of my favorite SNL characters. He definitely is a master impressionist. Cobie and him have such a strong relationship . His lesson about failure was powerful and important. A part 2 is definitely needed. He has such a great singing voice. He was awesome as King George. Love this podcast!

Something cool and rare I have noticed is you can clearly tell Ryan is more introverted than Michael but Michael never makes him feel awkward or weird about it. He just accepts that's his nature and keeps rolling. I am an ambivert and was a strict introvert as a kid. And instead of just accepting me as-is, everyone would poke and prod me and ask why I wasn't normal. It made me loathe school and even going out in public. So I noticed this here. ✌️

There's something about Taran. I'm not sure if there's a word for it, but if you met that guy in real life, and he snapped a mean character at you. He's so good at all aspects of character. If he said something really mean, you would believe it, and it would haunt you. Rosenbaum has an aura that his public persona is always mean, and you wouldn't want to risk being near that in case his attention landed on you. That being said, their stories about being the invisible 3rd wheel in the mismatched celebrity meetup (ending up in the same room as very famous people, but they forgot to leave at the appropriate time) was very personable.

I have always liked Taran.... sat next to him on the subway once and it took everything I could to not fanout out on him and not say hello.... That being said, the last 2 days I have been in a Taran hole and watching all his podcast appearances and old skits.... ending with this full episode. Between this and the Star Trek: TNG cast, my soul and my infatuations have been FED!

Because he didn't add anything to the show. With Chloe around being Clark's friend and being the reporter it gave Pete nothing to do. Now, if a comic like Taran played Pete, then Pete would have lasted a lot longer than 3 seasons.
