Nico you are my favourite Italian man, you doing an incredible work! Im going this May to Sicily, and planned my trip to stay at San Vito lo Capo for 2 days, Palermo also 2 days, and 2 days near cefalu, but after your videos, I thinking to change the 2 days of the Cefalu for 2 days on Mondello, as my family likes more beaches and parties haha, do you think It's a good idea though?

About your travel plans, sticking with your original itinerary might actually be the best bet. While Mondello boasts a stunning beach that's a hit in the summer, May is still on the quieter side when it comes to nightlife. It's a similar vibe in Cefalù, though you might find it a tad more lively due to its tourist draw. Just make sure you're staying right in Cefalù town, as the surrounding areas can be pretty quiet at night. Palermo, on the other hand, will have a lot more going on in the evenings, offering a broader mix of restaurants and bars. Given you're already planning to spend two days in Palermo, why not take a day trip to Mondello? It's super easy to get there - just hop on the 806 bus from the city center, and you'll be soaking up the sun on Mondello's beach in about 25 minutes if you're not driving, or 15 minutes if you are. If you're leaning towards swapping Cefalù for more beach time in Mondello, consider simply extending your stay in Palermo. You can enjoy Mondello's beach by day and then dive into Palermo's vibrant nightlife. In May, this approach will serve you well, offering both beach time and evening entertainment. Locals love doing this - heading to Mondello with a scooter, car, or bus during the day, then coming back to Palermo for the night. Whatever you decide, you're in for a fantastic trip. I am picking up from the train station using Autoeurope. We are staying near the port for 7 days at the end of August, picking up a car on day 4 and planning on doing day trips west of Palermo for the next 3 days.

Taking the car on day 4 to explore the surrounding areas is a smart choice. As mentioned in the video, having a car in Palermo may not be very useful, but it's great for day trips nearby. Just be mindful of the ZTL area and consider purchasing the pass if you plan to drive there. If you accidentally find yourself inside the ZTL without a pass, don't panic. You have until 11:59 pm on the same day to buy the pass 😉
