One of Sydney’s most popular cultural events, Ramadan Nights Lakemba, will return in 2024! Attracting more than 1.4 million people in 2023, Ramadan Nights Lakemba is an award-winning* event that is recognised as being of State-significance.
The spectacular month-long cultural event is a vibrant, global food bazaar during the month of Ramadan. The dates for Ramadan in 2024 are Saturday 9 March to Monday 8 April.
Break your fast or try new foods and experience the rich culture and traditions of Ramadan. There will be over 65 food stalls to tempt your tastebuds, in an atmosphere like no other.
There is very limited parking so make sure you avoid the crowds by using the FREE shuttle bus, brought to you by Western Union, starting from 6.30pm or catch public transport.
When: Every Thursday-Sunday, 6pm-3am, 9 March-8 April
(Additionally, stalls will operate for the local community, Monday to Wednesday, 6pm-3am, 9 March-8 April)

About Ramadan
Ramadan is the most sacred month of the year in Islamic culture. The month of Ramadan is spent by people of Muslim faith fasting during the daylight hours from dawn to sunset. At the end of each day’s fast, Muslims gather for Iftar, the evening meal to break their fast.

Come early in the night, the stalls will be open every day from 6pm

The Western Union shuttle buses will be free for the public to use between 6.30pm-12.30am every Thursday-Sunday from Saturday 9 March-Monday 8 April. They will run on the below routes, leaving approximately every 30 minutes.
