Today we’re going to look at earbuds from two of the most popular Android phone companies, Samsung and Google, with the new Galaxy Buds2 Pro and the Pixel Buds Pro. So for Samsung we’ve got a model that refines and improves on the previous Galaxy Buds Pro, whereas Google are launching their first pair of ANC earbuds. Here is a hot tip...on the Galaxy buds 2 pro, if you have tap to adjust volume in Labs settings turned on, you can tap the top of your ear to adjust the volume. This works flawlessly. No need to even touch the earbuds. This works on the original galaxy buds pro also.

I thought about buying Pixel Buds Pro briefly, but now I think it might be too much money for me. I saw your video about 100$ earbuds and Jabra Elite 4 Active stuck out to me, though you didn't feature them in your video, you mentioned them when talking about Jabra Elite 3s. They stuck out to me because of the ANC in contrast to 3s, and the cost of $80. I was also looking at Sony WF-1000XM3, because they are also priced around that $100 mark in my area. I was hoping to get your opinion on which are the better ones considering the $20 difference, fit, ANC, sound quality and usability overall. Great video too. Love your channel, you are getting too little recognition man.

ANC and sound quality: WF-1000XM3. Definitely. But lots of people find them large/bulky, so the fit is much better with Jabra Elite 4 active. I would personally rather have Jabra, but it depends how much you prioritise sound quality (where Sony definitely wins)

Praising google for not including a charging cable is crazy tbh. 😂 I don't care if I have 100 charging cables at home, I want all the accesories I would need for the device I pay for to be included. Because if I had nothing and wasn't given a charging cable, I'd then have to spend more money to have one. Its kinda like consoles coming with HDMI cables. Yeah, you might already have a spare, but why wouldn't they include one for people who might not?

Yeah I understand some people have this mindset. I just think everyone already has a cable. Or at least it’s extremely unlikely that someone doesn’t have a single cable. This expectation of having everything in abundance isn’t great for the environment - which I think is more important. It’s just an easy and simple sacrifice to make to not have one included, but makes a huge difference for a company to do this And anyway it’s almost like a placebo effect because if people had to separately click “add to basket” to have the cable included when they go to purchase, and pay for it, people wouldn’t do it. If they knew they were paying extra. But no one stops to think of the price they actually pay includes the cable or not. The earbuds cost £99 right? But if they were sold at £105 instead, no one would care. They would just assume that’s the price. It’s only when you believe you’re paying extra for something (or missing out on the cable in this instance). When people actually need one, genuinely have no other cable, or course they would buy one and not think twice. Anyway, everyone is welcome to their own opinion of course. And to add some balance, I think earbuds should all support wireless charging and not include cables

I loved this video 10 days ago and here I am now wearing my buds2 Pro and watching ur video AGAIN! Compared to my Buds+ , the build quality and ear-wing fit, are much poorer now. But the sound quality and the other new features are great!! 👌👌👌 They seem to fit good so far, stay in even when moving. And, it's great for gaming with a Samsung flagship (lag almost non-existent)

2:25 Agreed about the fit. I'm trading in my Pixel Buds (and phone...).. I even tried the foam ones from Google directly, and that helped a bit with it feeling more "secure." I had the A-Series too and I also liked that design better.

I purchased the Pixel Buds Pro a month ago for multiple reasons. 1. Multipoint - I use two phones throughout the day, and switching between them is critical. My work phone is a Samsung, and my personal is a Pixel 6 - I wanted the ability to use the Google Assist versus Bixby, which doesn't always work. 2 Quick connectivity when opening the case 3. ANC - this is important to me | I have too many cables and didn't need another one. I hope the app for the Pixel Buds Pro improves with the equalizer, but if not, it isn't a deal breaker for me -

Galaxy Buds2 Pro have better sound quality (obviously an important factor for earbuds). LGs are better all-round though. Better value for money and better, on balance, with the other factors and features 👍🏼

Head-Fi tested Pixel Buds Pro and found treble frequencies poor and rolled off. They described sound like "listening with spoons in my ears"

Right now I own Galaxy Buds plus. What are the differences between them and pixel buds pro in terms of comfort and sound quality? I really like the comfort of galaxy buds plus and the sound quality is quite amazing as well(been using for past 2 years). Wanted to upgrade to ANC.

I think the Galaxy Buds+ are more comfortable - they have a looser, lighter feel in the ears. If you think they sound amazing though, you should be happy with Pixel Buds Pro. Sound quality is comparable, perhaps slightly better with the Buds Pro. So I think the ANC upgrade could be worth it.

@@insidetechltd will the less comfort be an issue as per your experience? Im aware it's a subjective aspect but I remember when I first got buds+, they felt uncomfortable after 40 minutes of use. Now I could wear them for hours without any issue. P.S. thanks for the help so far

I wouldn’t say so, no. I still think the Pixel Buds Pro are a comfortable earbud overall. It’s only a small comfort downgrade from Galaxy Buds+. If you have particularly small ears, they may be more of an issue. But otherwise they should still be comfortable enough!

If they are removing cables and accsesories from the box , then i expect the price to be lower , cuz the shiping is easier due to smaller package and lack of unessery costly acsesories)

Trouble is we have no way of knowing if the price is cheaper or not. If Google first released these with all the accessories at a more expensive price, and then later re-released them without the accessories at the price they are now, everyone would be happy. So we maybe this is already the reduced price 🤷‍♂️

I currently use Galaxy phones but have been thinking of switching to Pixel phones in the future. Are these buds cross compatible? Can I use the Galaxy Buds Pro 2 with Google Pixel phones and vice versa? If so, would the only thing that would be happen is the loss of some features? Or if I get the Buds Pro 2, am I stuck to only compatible with Galaxy phones? Thanks!

Think hard before switching to a Pixel phone, I loved the software experience, but the hardware isn't great. I returned my Pixel 7 Pro last year and went back to my S20 Ultra. Modem, battery life are both terrible. Just an overall glitchy experience. Phone overheated alot doing normal things to - just do your research. The phone was so bad I am afraid to buy anything hardware wise from Google now, becaues the only thing worse than the experience was their customer service :(

I love(d) my Pixel Buds 2. BUT they can never stay in my ears and I lost the right bud down the sewer the first day I owned them. Great sound and the ANC is way better than the Galaxy Buds 2 that my friend let me use. We work spraying the sewers with a generator running so good ANC is important. That said, I'll have to switch to the Galaxy Buds as I can't afford to lose another one so easily. I constantly had to push the Google ones back in. Oh the Google buds also worked from roughly 80ft away with no connection issues when talking on the phone.

Have both, pixel buds better by far in sound quality, bass, ANC, secure/comfortable fit. The only thing better on the buds 2 pro is the transparency mode which is very clear almost like youre not wearing anything

not a big deal at all that the charger isn't in the box....it's wireless charging and if you're even remotely into any tech at all odds are you have multiple type c cables already. That's why Type C is the standard for this very reason!

You only need to think about changing if you aren’t happy with your buds 2 pro. So first of all identify that, and what it is you don’t like. Once you know that, you can then look at the pixel buds and see if they fix those issues

Bro forgot a really important thing if u used the wearable app u could activate edge touch to control volume on galaxy buds but this also works if you tap your head near the buds which is amazing

One thing to note is that Google updates their firmware all the time and Samsung...well, I think my Buds Pro only have been updated once in over a year.

@@insidetechltdI don't know but I do have issues with them dropping but it's not all the time. Also, probably my biggest irritation is that they don't connect to apple stuff very well. I can get them to buy it takes a dozen plus times if trying, they just don't show up to pair. The transparency can be annoying if I say something to myself out loud. Other than that the sound is great.

Thing is though, I think those are just performance issues. Not necessarily bugs. And if it isn't a bug...there doesn't need to be any software updates. If the pixel buds had regular bugs, they might get regular software updates, but that doesn't mean they are better necessarily. I'm not saying one earbud is better than the other, or that pixel buds have loads of bugs, just that updates doesn't necessarily mean a good or bad thing 🤷

I use Galaxy Buds with a Pixel phone - it's fine

So you “love” the fact that you’re spending that kind of money on headphones and they’re screwing you out of the ability to charge them? WOW!! The point isn’t whether or not people have an extra cable laying around or whatever, the point is that’s part of what you’re paying for it and it should be included. That’s nothing more than them being CHEAP!

I have the Pixel Buds Pro...they're extremely comfortable and can be worn for hours on end. They have never fallen out of my ear, that's why they include different size tips. I exercise with them 3 times a week. I also have the buds2 Pro's and they're also good....They both rate extemely high and you can't go wrong with neither.

I have a Samsung, and the ONLY thing that sold me on the pixel buds pro was the hands free Hey google command. I can't stand Bixby and avoid using it like the plague on my phone.

Yeah I totally get it, I use multiple cables myself. I just like the idea behind reducing waste and people only buying cables when they actually need them. Just my view though!

No real multipoint, no real integrated equalizer,no Google fast pair, a proprietary audio codec that only works on Samsung devices with at least One-Ui 4.0, average autonomy but an increase in price 🤔 Samsung is increasingly becoming everything I hate about Apple, closed ecosystem. I'm a Samsung fan, but today it's easier for me to recommend the Huawei Freebuds Pro 1 / 2, OnePlus Buds pro, Soundcore, Oppo, Pixel Buds Pro, Sony or even Beats Fit Pro and Apple Airpods Pro than the Galaxy Buds Pro 1 / 2. By wanting to play it Apple and close its ecosystem, Samsung does not realize it but in the process of opening a boulevard to Google. 🚶🏽‍♂️🚶🏽‍♂️🚶🏽‍♂️

Each to their own but I hate this type of design. It's like putting a marble in your ear. Decent video but you should concentrate more on the sound quality rather than talking so much about 'features' from the sales pamphlet.

Not everyone has the sound quality as their priority, so I discuss everything. You can always use the time codes to skip to the audio section if that's the bit you're interested in 👍🏼

I agree with the original poster. Anyone who didn't have audio quality at their priority is utterly stupid. You also don't say much during that segment so makes the whole video overly long and unfocused.
