Such a pleasure to hear the erudite Vikram Sampath. Together with Sanjiv Sanyal, Anand Ranganathan, J Sai Deepak, and a handful of others he is shaping the narrative of our country, snatching the liberalism, peace and reconciliation away from the leftists and bringing these to where they actually belong. Thank you Insight for bringing this. wonderful interview.

Vikram Sampath...so easy on the ear...fantastic articulation of all the wrongs in our history narrated thus far...any upcoming historian...must listen to this interview. We in Bharath are ok, as long as we continue to produce historians like him ..to correct the past wrong 🙏

It takes lot of calm courage to correct the distorted present discourse... You are doing a great job... Choosing people with vision, scholarship, ability to present the views based on facts and of course with clarity ... It needs lot of ground work. I appreciate you consistent standard directed efforts. Thanx for sharing. Pl keep on meaningful academic karma.

Quite a pleasant & informative chat. Both interviewer & VS made us feel comfortable throughout delivering the message succinctly. Vikram’s messages must reach every primary school student to reprogram the young Indian minds. Change must happen at grassroots level. Truth is always crystal clear and doesn’t need camouflage. Thanks for the lovely & educative session. Intellectually brilliant. Interviewer can make or break a conversation. She herself is knowledgeable & deeply involved and makes it enjoyable.

Excellent point from Dr VS on icons and truth. Icons need not be always belonging exactly same category as the person looking for an icon. Peace based on falsehood is vulnerable to the truth coming out in future. It is better to face the truth right now and establish more robust peace.

It is high time that the new Youngs of bharat in school get to study of our own history..its time that we write history from this nation's perspective and not from that of the traders who finally ended up ruling us....thank you vikram for bringing a charismatic approach to knowledge..your erudite words and stating facts is just what we need...it is sad that tatyarao still is misinterpreted but your work and that of sharad ponkshe is going a long way in making indians aware of what he stood for....
@raos49872 жыл бұрын
Great discussion. Every Indian today has a responsibility to understand our past history and the humiliation, the wounds and the destruction caused to our culture that it has left for us. White washing them has very amazingly started the moment we got our independence. Subsequent events proved that one particular family wanted to appropriate the entire credit for getting freedom and establish it’s stranglehold on power structure. It did not allow the real stories to be told to Indians and who ever nurtured such ambition and attempted something contrary had been hounded and persecuted or killed. In Vikram’s case also we have seen how much venom was spilled on him in various fora by that ecosystem. Our History has to be retold and rewritten so that present and future generations can understand it correctly and possibly then a kind of national reconciliation happens.

Insightful. I totally agree on the fact that Vikram says Hindutva is only a push back and not a threat to any community. My only question is why do the Hindus do away the caste system and socially equate them which actually is happening via financial freedom. But the mindset of the caste system in these times is totally out of context what ever the Gita says.

Can you call the cabals nationalists or belonging to this nation. I fail to understand what they really want. Probably it is the position they enjoyed in spite of distorting our history. I wish they openly debate with their opponents and let the audience decide. I don't think they will agree to converse. All the same, now that a fresh look is being taken up by young scholars, they must create a community to support them and fearlessly go about their work. I wish the youngsters take up the cause of awakening the people and continue to work harder to achieve their goal of Hindu solidarity.
@sureshpolali46162 жыл бұрын
You have answered the your question -- " Probably position they enjoyed "" .. That is 100 % true -- the same syndrome is catching up with BJP as well. For the sake of power BJP is sacrificing too many things -- Corruption is BJP ruled states are being tolerated for the sake of power .. BJP central govt is not ready to bring in MERIT in politics by changing REPRESENTATION OF PEOPLE ACT .. the same old 1955 ACt is being used without any change .. Election is being conducted same way like in 1955 ( except EVM ) .. No qualification , too many independent candidate to split vote - High level of vote bank politics - no requirement of delcaring coalation partners before the election and keeping voters in dark -- all are the part of the game --

if they truly want a casteless society why dont they help the manhole workers and dalits facing atrocities from ucs, supporters of rss also broke the statue of br ambedkar in my society. the only thing they do is to promote anti reservation sentiments towards Scs . I also want to support rss but they have done very minimal amount of work to reduce untouchablity despite all of its influence

This would be main reason for the demise of Hinduism if not corrected in next 25 years. People are not going to tolerate discrimination especially when they are economically free. With multinational companies coming into India with their non discrimination policies it would help to impart momentum to this.

Reason no 1. Why we got independence is world war 2. Had it no happened no Gandhi on Nataji no Sarvarkar would have been able to get us independence.
@keerthisureshseelam2 жыл бұрын
That is true. Indians were mostly happy with the system british put in with their courts, administrative systems etc, except for the undue taxation. Hindus were especially happy because they were able to set themselves free from Muslim rule, and were able to occupy highest administrative positions possible for Indians.

I think that the leftists, communists and congress defame and hate great Savarkar mainly because of 3 reasons. 1. He was a true patriot and real fighter who was not a fake strugglers and British spy like them. 2. He gave alternative leadership to useless non violence policy to indian freedom struggle and was a great threat to Congress tyranny. 3. He was a great Hindu and worked tirelessly for uniting Hindus and supported Hindu rashtra.

46:29 - South looks North as culturally superior? I don't think so!!! South looks North as victims of Islamic rule for centuries that resulted in near-loss of Sanatana culture. Major portion of Hindi today is influenced by Islamic languages. Look at all major temples in North, they're confined to tiny areas, though Modi ji is striving to bring back the lost glory, while look at the temples in the South, they are magnificent, and even temples in a small villages are magnanimous. So, no, South doesn't look North as culturally superior!
